I think lenfest may be a little too pricey for me. I think I'll go with the 420 or something like that.
By the way, does Columbia look at our final GPAs?

I'm still swinging wildly between living at home for 1L (an hour commute) and staying in the city with you all. Admittedly the social aspect is making me lean toward living near campus, but the COL is a scary prospect when I fully expect to be going home 3+ evenings a week (I keep my horse at home).
In other news, it's official - I'm leaving my job in April and spending the next 5 months doing sweet, sweet nothing

I have a feeling jumping back into student life is going to be a huuuuuuuuge relief.

Live near campus for 1L so that you make friends, and then for 2L and 3L, live at home. You'll have your friends from 1L year so you can hang out any time or crash near campus because your friends will live there.
I can't carry the ring Mr. Frodo.

Presumably Columbia needs a final transcript, but it's not like they will rescind your offer, as long as you have a final transcript.

Alright, alright, you win
Also I'm wondering if "early February" could by some magical interpretation actually mean January... I need another token of Columbia's affection! Or at least the ASW(D?) dates...

I think last year people got their admissions packets in late January, so you just might get your wish.

Here's the spreadsheet with LSN data about when people got their packets. Though I did some more LSN stalking, and it seems the people who said 1/22 got the packets on 1/25, so I guess the letters were just dated 1/22?

You are so awesome. I love your spreadsheets.
Also, I realised this means I'm definitely not getting mine until February. Stupid ten-day post(al?) time! You guys will just have to tell me all about how cool it is :'(

Bumping this most awesome of threads.
Vertex mentioned in the Columbia 2011! thread that he called CLS and they said the ASWs (Ds?) are going to be the first and last weekends of March. Anyone know which one they're leaning toward? I can't wait!

1st one!!! I am way too impatient. And then since I live in NYC maybe I will sneak into the second one too. haha
Also...my boyfriend bought me a CLS shirt!! Which makes my acceptance very official

no need for the fancy packet at this point...

I have a wedding in Baltimore in late March, and I live in San Francisco. I'd rather not fly back and forth since it's so expensive, so I think I'm going to go to the second ASW in late March.
Everyone go to the second one!

That's my #2 choice behind CLS, so it's very likely. Will be writing CLS an epic LOCI this weekend tho.

Yay! About time
The new facebook is confusing alright, but you know it's getting bad when your 70 year old father uses it more than you do...
