And what turned me away from IUB? Well, for starters, it's in Indiana. Really, Wake is just a better fit for me and it's what the wife wanted, so that made it an easy choice. The $$$ was admittedly hard to turn down though...

I would have gone to iub in hopes that our commencement speaker would be Peyton Manning.

Muggsy could stand on top him to form a SUPER-COMMENCEMENT-SPEAKER!

Maybe this has already been covered, but has anyone taken a look at the Pines at Bethbara apartments? I am trying to decide between them and the crowne oaks. Any thoughts? I'm pretty sure I am looking into a 1 bedroom at either place.

Hey everyone! So I've got a question for all of you: I would really like to go to house hunt, but can't decide if the $500+ it will cost me is worth it. What do you think? At what price would you say fuck it I'll just look online?

I would definitely be careful about selecting an apartment solely online. Other than the obvious issues in that you can't really tell the quality of most apartments by looking at pictures of them online, I think you would definitely want to know about the quality of location as well. If it's Crowne Polo (or one of the other ones that seems to be a consensus "good location/quality apartment" that a lot of the other current students and 0L's on here are leasing) then maybe it's not such a big deal though.vermlaw wrote:Hey everyone! $500 is a lot of $ so I understand where you are coming from, but you don't want to be locked into an apartment you are miserable in. Just my .02 cents.

If you have an extra 500 laying around then sure, come on out. However, I personally think that would be a waste of money...its nearly enough for the security deposit. I'm sure that we will all be more than happy to give you the run down on apartments. I have personally visited 3 apartment complexes already and would be happy to share my opinions with you. I plan on visiting a few other places as well.vermlaw wrote:Hey everyone! Re: Wake Forest University School of Law 2014
Thanks for your input guys. I guess the main reason I would go is to find a roommate or two who I get along with well. I'm not as concerned about seeing the apartments in person as I am with finding someone to live with who doesn't drive me nuts (and vice versa). It also seems like there are a few good options for houses instead of apartments, so getting a group of three or four would be cool too. I think I'm going to bite the bullet on this one and part with the cash...

Well, if you are in search of roommates, then I change my vote to yes.vermlaw wrote:Thanks for your input guys. Compatibility is a very important factor. I thought you were coming just to socialize/check out properties.

Haha thanks NC! I certainly look forward to doing my fair share of drinking socializing at the game and the bars afterward
