what's the longest wait you've heard for an ED acceptance after app goes complete?

I am curious as well. I'm starting to doubt my chances since I've been complete since Monday (ED processed Tuesday) and others who went complete that day have gotten inmteevin wrote:what's the longest wait you've heard for an ED acceptance after app goes complete?

On LSN it took as long as 6-7 days for an acceptance for the longest users.

broker,
did your application change from "pending review/decision" to "under review" around the time you were called?

I'm still "File Complete, Pending Review/Decision", been that way since Monday.

Re: UVA Class of 2014
that seems contrary to what i've been hearing. people have been reporting their status going to "under review" when it's actually under review. clearly not always the case, based on your experience.
interesting.

it looks like, according to LSN, that no one was notified today either admit or ding...hopefully tomorrow will bring better news.

That is interesting regarding the statuses, because I was specifically told they had reviewed my application already. I still haven't gotten a final decision.

This waiting is awful! If I'm not getting in id rather find out sooner than later. Its only been three days since I went complete but its seemed like three weeks

I'm 99.9999% sure I'm getting a waitlist. And we all know UVA waitlist=soft rejection.

the wait is horrible...ed is worse because it's obviously our dream school.
never understood, however, why acceptances are turned around faster than dings. shouldn't a ding be a fairly automatic process?

Probably a combination of them being busy and wanting to have many options

Re: UVA Class of 2014
I don't know how everyone else heard their decision, but I got an email asking me to call in regards to my application. I thought for sure they had a question about something, but they gave me the acceptance news. He mentioned some stuff from my PS, so at the very least I know they read it! Seem like really nice people, but I'm guessing those who get rejected or on the WL won't feel the same way.

I had a fairly lengthy wait for my ED acceptance. My application went complete 10/5, but they didn't receive my ED form until 10/7, and I didn't get my acceptance call until 10/18. That's substantially longer than these next-day acceptances I'm reading about, so don't give up yet!

I would say almost assuredly a waitlist.iwanta170 wrote:My stats are: VA resident, 165, and 3.84utexas10 wrote:I had a fairly lengthy wait for my ED acceptance. Does anyone think I'm an auto-ding/waitlist or will they consider me and take their time in getting back to me since my numbers are borderline so they have time to see who else applies while I'm pending? I also submitted an addendum pointing out my upward trend and saying that I anticipate my GPA will rise by graduation, which implied I'll be at at least 3.85. I thought that would help
Hoping theres a light at the end of the tunnel

Re: UVA Class of 2014
If I raise my GPA to 3.85 or 3.86 after this semester, what are my odds of getting off the waitlist (assuming I get put on it)?

My question is-- how soon after you received the email did you guys call? I think calculating that would be my favorite part of working in admissions..

I feel for everyone still waiting and wish you all the best of luck.
A question for the fortunate admitted students: Is there any incentive to paying your seat deposit early? When do you get access to your UVA Law email for instance or access to the stuff current students can see? Anyone have any idea? Perhaps those who deferred until this year?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
