I think he came from GWU. Might ask in their forum.

I had him. He wants you to mention everything he talked about in class. Even if it has nothing to do with the main thrust of the question, mention it. For example, we had a question last year that was about two 25-ish year old people who agreed to get married and whether or not that was enforceable. The next semester he had a session with us to go over his ideal answer and he wanted us to include a sentence that basically said, "Everyone in this scenario is over 21 so there are no minors involved and we don't have to worry about the possiblity of a voidable contract." Basically, you should "word vomit" everything you know and use every second of time to include anything you can think about that he said that you haven't mentioned yet. His final is annoying in that way, but he does at least try to loosely base it around some pop culture or something funny. So that's a plus

The one I have is kind of old and not too helpful. There's maybe four classes that are on there that are being offered with the same profs next semester.

Mine has a few more than 4. It's 7 pages?

Anyway here's a link: --LinkRemoved--

Is ours the same?

I just am wondering about waiting to take Evidence with anyone but Bridge (I've not heard the best things about him) or Income Taxation with Hanna (as opposed to McWatters).

Also, any feelings about Trusts and Estates (should I even bother if I don't want to do estate planning? Is it at all helpful for the bar or general practice) or Real Estate Transactions (I've heard mixed reviews about Dean Camp)?

Evidence with Bridge sounds awful. I'd wait for Jenks or anyone but him.

No idea on Trusts & Estates, seems like its always taught by that harpy Forrester. Plus, zero interest in it.

No idea about Income, but I think Hanna is good.

I've heads that Real Estate Transactions is very little work, but the final is very unfair.

BANKING LAW AND REGULATION: DOMESTIC AND INTERNATIONAL (EW) with Norton.

INTERNATIONAL COMMERCIAL ARBITRATION (EW) with DOLZER.

INTERNATIONAL & COMPARATIVE HEALTH LAW (EW) with Cortez

Which is the least horrible?

This is the only way to get the (EW) requirement?

I would pick Cortez out of those. But no, International Crimes with Turner should be an EW. Also, I think Kofele-Kale is teaching an EW, but good luck getting in to that one. I think there are other EW's offered, too.

Turner is teaching it, it is an EW, and Turner is great (thanks for compelling me to take her this semester, kalvano!).

Are you in her Crim Pro class? Did I send you an outline for that?

Also, yes, I will state again that she is my favorite professor and I highly, highly encourage everyone to take her classes.

She is great for EW's because she is very precise and she gives very clear instructions and feedback.

I heard a rumor that there is a very good Hanna income tax outline floating around.

If anyone has it--PLEASE be a dear and send it along :)

It is a terrible idea to take 5 classes (15 hr) next semester when I'll also have to write a LR comment? Or, is it manageable?

I took 15 hours last spring and had to write the comment (for SMULR- due earlier than other journals). It made my first month of class pretty miserable, but mostly because I took wills and trusts and I'm an outline-as-I-go type of person, so it just kept getting in the way of that.

What helped me the most was mapping out in advance how many pages I needed to write every day until it was due, and if you do this far enough ahead of time it really won't be that bad - writing 2 or 3 pages a day isn't hard, especially if you try to make your footnotes really long.

I didn't have much of a social life, but I kept good grades and got it done. So yes, it's manageable, but it kind of sucks along the way.

What are the 5 classes you're taking?

I didn't take Hanna, but I made a pretty sick 1222/1223 capital asset gain/loss characterization flow chart that helped me fly through my exam last year. I remember using it on old Hanna exams while studying, and it made those problems pretty easy. I had an adjunct prof who made her exam pretty close to Hanna's. If anyone's interested I can send it.

Does anyone have any advice about Dorsaneo's Texas Trial and Appellate Procedure exam? He hasn't told us anything about it, not even if it is open book or closed book. Any help will be much appreciated!

Thanks

Generally, his exams are all MC, open book and open note.

Does anyone know how soon grades come out as compared to 1L year when they all came out at the same time in late January?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
