I'm gonna be heading off to Florida until the 26th, but if any TLSers wanna meet up for drinks or anything in late July/early August, lemme know! Would be cool to get a group together before classes get started.

JD/MBA?
JD/MS in electrical engineering.

Speaking of MBAs though, I took a business class last semester and really enjoyed it. I think it helped to think about issues from a corporate perspective (i.e., the way future clients will think about issues).

Summer starters should be up for drinks after the 29th. Week of 25th is the hell that is finals...Come to the library to see summer starters freak out.

0-0.5Ls: Dean Belk should have just sent you a link for a mentoring survey. Fill it out, and do it soon! I am in charge of that program, and I need your responses so that I can match you with a mentor. If you wait until the last minute, your match is likely not going to be as good as it could be since I will need to scramble to find you someone.

And if you have any idea what practice area you would like to go into, PLEASE put it down. That is one of the more useful ways to match mentors, and too many of you leave it blank.

Did anyone else miss the deadline for immunizations? That requirement snuck right by me.

I guess I need to find a healthcare provider now... I hope I'm not missing any of my shots.

Every college requires an immunization record for you to be able to start, so I'd check with your undergrad institution. Unless you're way out of undergrad, they probably have it on file.

solid idea. i managed to find my actual immunization card from my pediatrician from back in the day but that would be much easier.

If I put "TLS" in the last box, will you match me with a TLSer?

Took me a long time to find the online form to waive health insurance, so I'll leave the link here in case anyone else is looking for it:

i just happened to check the website with the recommended specs for laptops - is it really true that we need Windows Professional? Im running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit but it makes it seem like there are going to be substantial problems without Professional. Anyone have experience?

They offer free upgrades to Professional. Go here for more info on why you would want Windows Professional. Or just go here to download the upgrade.

American Tobacco Barber Shop. I think they charge around $22, which is a little steep for a barber shop, but they do a great job.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
