Another shameless plug: I'm a 1L at Michigan who will be out of town for summer and I would love to sublet my one-bedroom apartment to a summer starter (at a discount). Send me a PM if you're interested.

Summer starters: I'm looking to sublet my place for the summer. The price will be low (maybe something in the $350-450 range/month before utilities at the most). Might throw in a special "be a TLS moderator for a day."

Did everyone who received aid hear back within a week or two? It's been over 3 weeks for me and no word on $, so does that mean no merit aid or is it just taking longer compared to early in the cycle?

Definitely appreciate & excited about the acceptance, but given the circumstances any offered merit aid would have a significant impact on decisions. Thanks guys.

Have you checked in the ASW > Mail & Money > Financial Aid Award Info?

It's been about two weeks since my acceptance letter, and I had been checking in the "communications" tab to see if another letter was coming. So far, nothing. But, yesterday, I checked under the financial aid award info tab and there's some money listed in there.

my award showed up about a week and a half after i was able to log into the ASW, and only 5 days after i received my package

Yes, this is true. Free dog companionship, you guys (seriously, you would have to have a heart of blackened coal not to like his dog - it's very sweet).

LOL, my dog is actually kind of famous somehow. About once a month I meet someone new and after five minutes, there are like "Wait, are you the guy with the awesome dog!?!" Or even more creepy, someone will come up to me in a bar and ask "How's Daisy liking the winter, etc.?" (This is only the second or third time I've EVER mentioned her name on TLS.)

Thanks! Nope, nothing under mail & money. It maybe time for a letter... Is Michigan responsive to requests for matching scholarships?

Got a call today from a woman at UM Law studying environmental law. Missed the call but the voicemail was quite friendly. How does Michigan consistently do everything right? Every day my love for UMich grows stronger and stronger.

Does anyone know the deadline for wanting to do a dual degree? Is it even possible if you did not notate it in the application?

I was thinking MBA/Economics with a slight chance of a game time switch to engineering (for patent).

These are just some of the reasons why I love UMich, the other graduate programs are top in the country as well.

Does anyone read into the number of apps a school recieves? Does it infer anything?

In an e-mail from Gtown the assistant dean said he will look at 10,000+ apps this cycle.

According to this site, Michigan recieved 5,000 apps last year.
