As a side note, I just bought a 13" macbook air (directly from Apple - not the school), and I love it. I just made sure to get the vga adapter thing that was recommended.

Hey y'all! My roommate at Regents just got into Stanford off of the wait list and is no longer going to be attending UChicago in the fall. In regards to the laptop advice: amazon has some rather good deals with similar components if you are looking for a pc (which personally i prefer, no need to start a mac vs pc debate on the comment). They are good deals because in general they come with a xbox 360 which you can sell (as i'm going to do) for 160+ and they come with amazon gift cards. My computer runs 1000+ retail price from the normal sellers was about 650 including the xbox value and the gift card I received. (Personally, I do quite a bit of my shopping on amazon, so the gift card was basically cash (in my opinion), but different people may have different takes on it. You don't get the customization options, just to be clear.

Just got my official transcript from my undergrad.

It is completely updated but it says issued to Law School Admission Council.

Will that preclude me from sending it to U of C?

Advanced apologies if this has already been discussed (I mean, what hasn't been talked about in this thread), but does anyone know which bank is the easiest for UoC students to use? I remember seeing a citibank on UofC campus, is that the generally accepted go to?
