Does anyone know whether there will be another scholarship round going out at any point?

A few pages back we discussed this.....they do not have any more money. More scholly recipients accepted offers than they expected.boom_cs wrote:Does anyone know whether there will be another scholarship round going out at any point?

Although a few scholly offers may renege now that unc has started accepting people. Regardless I imagine only a small amount of money will be available. It seems like this cycle a lot more consideration has been given to debt aversion. By this I mean, a lot of big schools saw massive declines in apps. I theorize, that over-qualified students are attending lesser ranked schools in order to minimize debt with hopes of topping out of the class.

Hey guys,
i just checked my status checker and the status date has changed to 4/18/2011. I find it very strange as they have not recieved my seat deposit yet, i was accepted 12/10/2010, scholly in january 2011. What could this mean? My deposit is on its way, sent tuesday due to family emergency. Any thoughts? I asked because as i remember when decisions were emminent in december the current status date would change to reflect the current date likewise with the scholly in january. should i be worried?

did you call and make sure that they know you were sending ur deposit in late?? Cuz I think they retracted scholly offers after the 1st...
the status checker might not mean anything, cuz they do weird things like that...
if youre worried, call Jenny. She's really nice & helpful.

Thanks, thats why i'm worried, i think they might have retracted my scholly. I did call then tho and let them know about the deposit and they said it was ok. I did ask for an increase too and they said after june 1st so i'm confused. I tried calling but the office is closed today.girlonfire wrote:did you call and make sure that they know you were sending ur deposit in late?? Re: Wake Forest University School of Law 2014
wait it out. It's probably not a big deal.
If they said June 1st, thats prob the date when they start to repool the scholly $ and decide if/how theyre gonna redistribute it.
If you called in advance, I doubt they took your $.
Also, the status checkers are crazy. Mine says "complete 1/31" and then lists the date of deposit (which they STILL havent taken out of my bank

I'm having trouble sending in my LOCI. I keep trying to send it to the email address located at the bottom of the status checker page, but it keeps returning it to my mailbox with a failed to send message. Did anybody else have trouble with this address?

Does anyone know if the Dean's certification can be mailed now or does it have to be filled out and mailed after we graduate?

On the accepted students site it says it would be easier to take care of before you leave campus if you're still in school. I assume that means you can request it now? It may depend on your school, too.YankeesFan wrote:Does anyone know if the Dean's certification can be mailed now or does it have to be filled out and mailed after we graduate?

+1... MILLION!jdemmitt wrote:The awesomest person at wake. Very helpful individual.
Jenny might have been the deal breaker between Wake and a peer school for me because how incredibly awesome she is and how much she helped me with the whole process while the people at this unnamed school have been totally unavailable.

I would fill everything out and give it to your Dean. They will mail it after you graduate.YankeesFan wrote:Does anyone know if the Dean's certification can be mailed now or does it have to be filled out and mailed after we graduate?
