Kalvano, are you coming to the STLR meeting tonight? If so, come dressed as Vic Mackey so I'll recognize you.

There's an STLR meeting? Is it like an "Intro to STLR" type of meeting? I'm not on the exec board, so I don't have to go to stuff like that.

But if you PM me your name, I can tell you pretty soon if I am your Notes Editor, and if I am not, what I know about the person who is.

Some of my OCI entries have turned to preselect or pending. Will all the remaining ones just stay at "pending" forever or will they turn to something final like "rejected"?

I guess my real question is whether the leftover "pendings" are really rejections.

You'll know for sure, it won't stay "pending" forever. It may take a bit of time past the August 6th at noon cutoff, though.

Thanks! I also show "alternate (X)"...I assume that X represents the number of folks who'd have to decline an interview before I'm eligible?

Mine says, "not invited," "accept preselect," or "alternate" in the invitation column.

My bidding column only shows "applied" or "none."

About 10 minutes ago, I could see all my preselects. Now, the screen has changed to preselect signup for August 7th at noon, and the number of interviews is shrinking. Is that happening to anyone else?

There should be a column that says "not accepted" or "preselect" or "alternate". I don't have it yet either, but I know some people who already got all "not accepted" so I'm assuming it's both 1) Career Services failing to do their one job again, and 2) a good sign.

I must be looking at the wrong page. I can't see an invitation column? It's on the same page that you go to when you bid, correct? With the list of the firms?

There is not one yet for some students. Problem with Symplicity. You should be hearing from Beth Lee soon.

It's on the same page which lists all the OCI employers. My page shows these columns:

Employer
Locations interviewing for
Total slots
Interview Dates
Invitations <--- This is where the preselects show
Documents
Bidding

Ok- I'm glad I'm not the only one. I was beginning to think I really over-estimated my worthiness. Haha.

I assume since I have preselects and was able to schedule interview times, then my Symplicity is correct?

I'd love to think that I have some more preselects coming but I doubt that's the case.

I wouldn't rely on anything Symplicity is telling you until the problem is fixed. My Symplicity account has gone from telling me I received pre-selects to all the firms I applied too, to telling me I received no invites to all of the firms, and finally to telling me nothing. So, I am going to wait tell 5 before I check again.

The preselect start time has moved back to today noon...it said Tuesday noon earlier today. I don't know if that means it's fixed, but it probably means people are able to select some interview times.

When I checked at like 11 this morning I had a couple preselects and an alternate, and the rest all said pending. I checked just now and it's the same as it was this morning, except now all those extra ones just say not invited. So not sure if that's final or what. I hope not lol

I am right in the middle of my first bad (not just frustrating, but BAD) experience with SMU FinAid.
