Someone went in and changed the password to lock everyone else out, so the person who originally made it reset the password and changed it so only he could access it (to make sure that no one else could mess with it). Here's the link to the read-only document bank:frognot wrote:The password has been changed.kalvano wrote:Something I meant to post a while ago for you guys and forgot.

Re: SMU 2014
Hey guys, I know a guy who is moving from Copenhagen to Dallas and transferring to Cox to finish his MBA. He's Norwegian, but speaks English wonderfully and is a really nice guy. He needs a room to rent for at least the fall semester, maybe longer. If anyone has a roommate moving out or hears of anything, will you let me know? Thanks!

Are yall signing your cover letters and then scanning them in, or just uploading without an actual signature?
These cover letters are killling me.

No signature is necessary. That's massive overkill. They probably won't even read it.annelise88 wrote:Are yall signing your cover letters and then scanning them in, or just uploading without an actual signature?

It's been too long since I've done this. How do we see what books we need to get for the Fall? Can you do it on TWEN, law.smu.edu, somewhere else altogether? Alternatively, am I being paranoid and it's not listed anywhere yet and I just need to calm down?

Go to Access and view your class schedule. There is a link that tells you what books you need.

I have yet another silly question....
For the OCI cover pages, should we address them to the interviewer, a hiring partner, or the recruiter?

If/when we get invited to interview with a firm, how will we know that in Symplicity?

August 6th at noon. Firms that want to interview you will tell Career Services, and it's under the "preselects" tab under OCI on Symplicity.

Has anyone heard how Professor Elkins is for Income Tax? He's teaching the evening section this fall.

I had him for income tax. He doesn't focus on the Code as much as other professors. He focuses more on big picture concepts. I would take him again. What are your other options?bass08 wrote:Has anyone heard how Professor Elkins is for Income Tax? He's teaching the evening section this fall.

Not much, haha. Hanna teaches the day section and I hear he is quite good, but I'm trying to stay in all evening classes so I can work during the day. My only opening was T/TH at 7:50 so income tax fit the bill. So, I'll have Oil & Gas M/W, Adv Legal Research T @ 6, and then Income tax at 7:50 t/th, and then journal for the last 2 credits.nouseforaname123 wrote:I had him for income tax. Just realized that if I did this, i'd have oil and gas final on 12/4 and then income tax on 12/5, which seems less than ideal. hmmm
edit: I could switch oil and gas for creditor's rights with Hale/Colwell. Any thoughts on them?

Anyone have an outline from Robinson's Property 1 and 2 classes you'd like to share?

If I remember correctly, Elkins does a 2-hour exam and half is multiple choice. I believe O&G is MC, as well. You could take both exams on back-to-back days without any problem.bass08 wrote:Not much, haha. This is the first time Hale has taught at night, so I can't tell you much about his class.
Talk to 3Ls on your journal about how to use your journal hours. Depending on casenote/comment deadlines and how busy your OCI season is, you may wish to save the hours for the spring semester.
