I'll say that the commute from DT to the school isn't bad at all. Use the metra not the CTA and you'll be fine.

for those who've visited the algonquin apartments:

any thoughts on best floors/buildings to live in terms of views, sunlight, and minimal street noise?

I visited Algonquin, but I only saw one unit and can't speak to any of those things. Maybe ask in the facebook group? I know at least one current student who lives there has posted, so she might be able to help!

I took an embarrassing amount of Glass Menagerie pictures yesterday with the help of little sister. Once I figure out how to get them onto a computer decisions will begin!

I lost the cord for the camera and none of my family's computers have a place where you can just put in the SD card.
