The only character that I really liked was Rory's grandfather Richard. That's exactly who I want to be like.Xifeng wrote:I think during the IKEA/decorating/etc party we should watch Gilmore Girls and other awesome TV shows/movies. It will be wonderful

It's okay. I used to make her watch my shows too.

Yes! We're going to assemble IKEA furniture and put on fancy knobs. And I love Psych and Glee! (Haven't seen Castle.)hotthaichick wrote:Can I come to this?? It sounds fun! Tiny doggie...big ears...tiny doggie...big ears.
I have a major weakness for large eared dogs. Somewhere in this thread are pictures of my dog, who has the Cardigan Corgi bat ears.
I love Psych, and sometimes love Glee. I haven't seen Castle yet (though I know I need to). Golden Girls rules. I'm a big fan of Bones, 30 Rock, and Community. Also, Animal Planet has a show called Too Cute! Kittens. I really wish we had cable.

I love big eared dogs too! I used to have a miniature schnauzer with huge pointy adorable ears. She was the best...
And yay for Psych! None of my friends are into that show so I watch it all alone haha. Also anyone who fast forwards through Glee songs officially can't watch it with me. But I'll still be up for being friends outside of glee watching time!

TBF, the songs are generally VERY hit or miss. Some of them can be very boring or bad. The only thing worse than some of those songs however is the generally awful dialogue whenever it gets down to srs bsns. There can be some good banter, but sometimes I just want to print off an episode script, rewrite the entire thing, and send it in with a post-it "FTFY".Xifeng wrote:Dany wrote:Wait... I'm confused. Re: Chicago Class of 2014
haha I used to watch the singing in most of the first season. I got real tired of the themed episodes and that's when I started fast-forwarding. I kind of watch it out of habit now, but I'm pretty into the story. I think it's getting better, though, since the last few episodes I've been able to watch more of the singing.
Also the songs are sooo long sometimes. Way too long.

I used to love House and then I got really behind but I'd be happy to catch up over the summer and watch it. And I LOVE food/cooking/baking so any kind of food show is definitely my cup of tea. If 2/3 is enough, then I would adore weekly TV viewing partiessoupisgood wrote:We are like TV twins. If you're also into House, 30 Rock, and *insert any Food Channel show here*, I think weekly TV viewing parties are in order.

Also, is there a way for people to identify who the TLS's are on Facebook? Like maybe a separate TLS Chicago Facebook group? I want to be immersed in Chicago TLS amazingness!
Hopefully that isn't too creepy...

Hmm this might be a good idea if there is enough interest out there. I can't do it from work (corporate fb block), but if someone wanted to make a facebook group outside of the official one, they could then PM the link to people who wanted to join and chat about other stuff a little more privately. It's up to y'all.hotthaichick wrote:Also, is there a way for people to identify who the TLS's are on Facebook? Like maybe a separate TLS Chicago Facebook group? Re: Chicago Class of 2014
I can lead the group and make it a private one and just PM the link to people who tell me they are interested. But I also don't want this to be a controversial thing. It's definitely not necessary to do.. I just thought it would be nice for us to know each other in person too since we will all be classmates.
Let me know if you would prefer for me not to make the group and I won't. But if not, I will make one tomorrow
