I wrote a note on nice stationary. I also included my LSAC# and any other identifying information I could think of.canes wrote:I mean, in the envelope.Ghost wrote:commitment response form on websitecanes wrote:Do we have to send anything along with our deposit check?

Are we looking at another boy/girl divide on including a note with the check?

I just sent a check in an envelope.
I wouldn't complain if someone sent me 500 bucks without a note...

I just folded up my check in a print-out of my enrollment confirmation email. So, no sweet nothings for UChi from me. I did think the classy stationery and handwritten note sounded nice, though.

Re: Chicago Class of 2014
I constantly look for excuses to use mine, since I always get some for Christmas from relatives who want thank you notes for their notes. Suffice to say, if you give me a gift, you WILL get a note. Probably with cats on it. I resisted the urge to send Chicago my "cats reenacting Othello" card.alphamoose wrote:I never think to use mine. Re: Chicago Class of 2014
Anybody not know where they're living yet?
I'm a 23 year old male looking for a roommate, male or female, to share an apartment or nice place. I'm specifically going to look for stainless steel appliances and granite countertops as close to the school as possible. Maybe Regents or Algonquin, but open to anything nice.
About me: I'm extremely neat and organized and I prefer the same in a roommate. I have a very well trained 12lb dog. I'm into fitness and like to eat healthy so I cook a lot at home. I take weekdays very seriously but I expect I'll want to party on weekends. I had an active social life in undergrad and still do so if you did/do too we might be on the same page socially.
I prefer to not live with someone straight out of UG but if you are and agree so far with what I'm looking for I'm sure it'll work.
I plan on taking school very seriously but neither law school nor the application process have been the center of my life so I'm not "one of those" and would rather not live with that type.
If anyone out there might be interested, private message would be best since replies to this post may get lost in the tide of other comments that I don't care to sift through. Let me know.

I don't know where my roommate and I are living yet, but we're going back this summer to look around! Also, Regents does not have those nice finishes, so Algonquin is your best bet (of those two) although there seem to be many other refurbished condos/apartments in HP that have what you're looking for.Tom Hagen wrote:Anybody not know where they're living yet?

Re: Chicago Class of 2014
Thanks. I've started to apply to Algonquin but I realize I could save a good amount by having a roommate so that's why I'm headed in this direction. That's good to know about Regents. Are there any other advantages/disadvantages to either of them?Dany wrote:I don't know where my roommate and I are living yet, but we're going back this summer to look around!
