Re: Chicago Class of 2014
Hello all!! My deposit was processed today!! So excited to be headed to UChicago in the fall, and I already signed a lease at the Algonquin so I'm all set. Getting the furniture for the apartment should be pretty fun, and I am thrilled that Chicago will be my new home. Is anyone else planning on living across from Regents in the Algonquin?

Did anybody else see the Algonquin banner calling out Regents?

Also, has anyone's seat deposit check actually been cashed yet?
Q: Why did the Chicken cross the road?
A: Modern kitchens and studios starting at $890
It is literally the first thing you see when leaving Regents.

Though I doubt you guys will have to wait long, the ED checks took almost 3 months to be cashed. I kept thinking I had $500 more than I really did. Crushing blow to my summer drinking plans.Muenchen wrote:Same. Re: Chicago Class of 2014
I mean, I guess technically the longer they sit on it the better, since I'll just continue to earn interest on that $500 (which is essentially nothing, but whatever) until they cash it. But yeah, I really don't like having to keep a hard copy of my bank accounts' real amounts because I have long outstanding checks

Again, I doubt it'll be that long. ED deposits were due in Jan and (at least mine) cashed just before ASW. Maybe April is the time they expect checks to be rolling in and the Bursar starts to deposit all said checks? Who knows, but wouldnt expect it to be right away (you guys only deposited like last week, right?)

Haha, don't freak out too much. Worse case scenario, I will transfer the money to your account and you can pay me back later or in the form of food. That's how much I want you at Chicago.alphamoose wrote:Alright thanks guys. I just realized I was like.. $4 short and had a little freakout.
Obviously, I'm going to wear the nicest and coolest shirt that I own so people know right away that I'm awesome.Xifeng wrote:I'm sure JFo can adapt this into something suitable for trudat for the glass menagerie:Muenchen wrote:I assume that most people in here are busy planning their outfits and poses for their Glass Menagerie photos...

What are the rules about what kind of picture we can submit? My glass menagerie book thing they sent us was a victim of a tragic coffee spill so aside from one quick look-through in January I don't remember anything

I wish I had Hermione's time turner so I could be in two places at once...plus, that would be so rigorous. Sigh...instead I will just continue to follow this thread. Carry on!

Your spotting that reference indicates a 96.3 percent chance that we are destined to be BFFs, regardless of the 2.5-hour plane ride between us.
