Are any of you thinking of using Zipcar next year? It seems like they have quite a few cars scattered throughout campus including 3 within a block of the Law School...

I think so. I assume I'll need a car for some things, and I'm not bringing one. My host mentioned that sales tax there is suuuuper high so she goes to a mall that's in a diff county. So cars are probably good for that sort of thing.

AND: check processed! Yay!

I am one of those "can't live without a car" people, so I'm definitely bringing mine. If only I could find a place with parking that doesn't cost as much as the rent!

Inorite? I'm definitely bringing my car, but I am not looking forward to paying around $150/month more just to park at my apartment. I have been so spoiled by living in areas with plentiful parking. But hopefully a lot of those costs will be recovered by being able to go to real grocery stores and driving home rather than flying.

Due (almost exclusively) to the popularity of Chicago on TLS, does anyone else worry that the Law School is going to be significantly over-enrolled this year?

I recall reading that last year's class was larger than expected but don't remember the exact number.

I think last year came in at like, 205? and usually they shoot for 180-190? Anyway, I think the administration was incredibly careful this year (notice the mass WL for anyone applying after early January.) I have faith that they know what they're doing and that the size will be back down.

Knock brought that up a little while ago as a possibility, but I would think that they took some extra precautions not make that mistake again. I think this is evidenced by the ferocity with which they used the WL, especially toward the end of the cycle.

Yeah, that's probably what they were doing with the huuuuge amount of WLs. Hopefully it'll still be a small class I think I've counted around 20 people who have said they're definitely coming to Chicago on TLS. Which is a LOT.

It seems like TLS is going to be ridiculously overrepresented at Chicago.

Sadly, I do not know if I met any of you at Preview Weekend. Oh well, here's to the next three years.

Hard to say. IRL interactions are so different from the internet that I could see TLS friends getting on each other's nerves

Also, I just had the best lunch I've had at least this year. Taking questions.

Double Edit: It just occurred to me that not even the nicest person ITT (JFo) would care about my sandwich. But it was seriously the best.
