What I don't get is what if they send out a finaid package before you can go back and edit? They'll redo it?dulcatis wrote:You can estimate it and say you're putting in #s based on your estimated 1040. Same here. Plus, my taxes and my parents' taxes don't usually get finalized until late summer since we always just file an extension right away.thecilent wrote:What I don't get is what if they send out a finaid package before you can go back and edit? Yeah, the only issue is that you have to send in your actual return, so it would be nice if they actually matched. It does sound like a lot more effort than I want to put forth though.

Yeah my mom always way procrastinates on her taxes, so I always estimate the numbers. I had financial aid all through college too, and I've never had any problems going through financial aid on estimates.gendefect wrote:Great idea. I'll give that shot. Fuuuuk, I registered for the ASW at the end of March. I really wish they'd send out scholarship invites so I could know that I... will be paying sticker wherever I go.

Has anybody requested or had any success requesting a travel stipend from NYU to travel? Do they even hook it up for us broke Westcoast kids?

I requested one and am still awaiting a decision. I guess they don't care about issuing decisions before the first ASW... which sucks for those of us who can only attend the first.RJ127 wrote:Has anybody requested or had any success requesting a travel stipend from NYU to travel? Same here. Their response was borderline useless. To make myself feel better I think I'm going to go out big tomorrow night for some pre-ASD festivities. Anyone else down for it?forward wrote:I requested one and am still awaiting a decision. So so far we have only one report of an invite to interview for RTK?
Still waiting to hear either way. The. Silence. Is. Deafening.

I think there were two separate reports. With quite a bit of time between them.pocketwatcher wrote:So so far we have only one report of an invite to interview for RTK?

Do they let us know if we're not finalists? Or do we just assume that if we hear nothing by March 14 it's a no-go?

I have no idea, but I'd guess the latter.pocketwatcher wrote:Hmmm. Bummer.pocketwatcher wrote:So so far we have only one report of an invite to interview for RTK?

haha I actually never made it out to Kenny's - I was at a different bar, but I heard it was fun there.
The ASW really did rock. I have to go to other schools, just so I can compare. But as everybody on these boards can probably tell: I am really exciting about nyu in the fall

Has anyone figured out if you get a rejection letter to the named scholarships or if they just don't ever tell you if you didn't get it?

Dude, thecilent, where were you that second day? Once you left halfway through that one panel I don't think I saw you again... Haha. Did you have a good nap?
Also, I'm super pumped about NYU. My girlfriend found out Friday afternoon that she got accepted into one of the Master's programs at NYU, so it's looking pretty likely that I will end up there!

No but I applied to every one I thought was applicable to me haha. And obviously I'm not going to be up for more than one, so since I have the AnBryce invite already I'm going to have a mailbox full of scholly rejections apparently lol.LinzerTorte wrote:Has anyone actually gotten one of these yet?ahduth wrote:http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 5#p4055076bleedblue wrote:Has anyone figured out if you get a rejection letter to the named scholarships or if they just don't ever tell you if you didn't get it?

Re: NYU Class of 2014
I just got an RTK invite via voicemail- she said she left a message last week but somehow I missed that one. Anyway, point is, they're still coming out in some form.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
