That dinner was especially fun because I felt like our table was at least slightly loosened up coming from wine mess and having beer at the table. I'm glad you're (probably) coming to Chicago <3 !alphamoose wrote:It's true. I was so disappointed by how normal he was.
Also, is there anyone on this thread entertaining the idea of not living in hyde park 1L year? If so, where are you looking?

Hey guys, I just talked to MAC Property Mgmt (they own the Algonquin and a lot of other smaller buildings close to campus) and got their pet policy out of them. Suffice to day, my pack of pets WILL be coming to Chicago. Fellow pet owners, PM for details.

Is anyone else interested in living in places nearer to school, I'm thinking between 55-3rd north of campus...

I'm definitely interested, if I could find a nice place. I didn't really like the dorchester housing option from the tour.Saul Goodman wrote:Is anyone else interested in living in places nearer to school, I'm thinking between 55-3rd north of campus...

Me too. I'd really like to be able to walk, but I've got to find a place that will allow dogs.Knock wrote:I'm definitely interested, if I could find a nice place. On a related note, I had a great time this weekend and will probably be joining you guys in September!

It actually seems to be in a pretty dope location... I just spoke to a grad student and she said totally safe... It's a block from the Dorchester and only two blocks from main campus.deathviaboredom wrote:yesss.Saul Goodman wrote:Agreed. 90 from chi and 75 from cls. The money scenario is in Chicago's favour for sure, but lots of other factors go in columbia's favour.Knock wrote:How much money did you get from each? Have you decided on not reapplying?CastleRock wrote:The Chicago v. Columbia debate is killing me. 4 days.
And no, I haven't decided on reapplying or not. It's all up in the air and I'm having a 20 something life crisis.
You being at chicago may be the draw that gets me there.Dany wrote:Let me know if you need any help making the right decision.CastleRock wrote:The Chicago v. Columbia debate is killing me. 4 days.

Haven't posted too much around here, but I sent in my deposit and I'm excited to meet you guys in September.
I might also be roommate-hunting, but I want to take a look at those suspiciously-low-priced studios at the Blackstone first.
