Hey guys,

I wish I had been able to stick around for the TLS meet up, if one happened...? Had to get back to TN for work...
Does anyone know if IU is offering a deadline extension for a decision. I didn't realize it was this Friday!!
I have one more ASW to go and it's pretty much between that one and IU.

I got an extension until April 15, but I asked for it back in mid March. I just explained that I would not be able to visit all the schools I was considering by April 1. But as others have mentioned, they claimed the class was already half full and they may not be willing to give extensions anymore.

I know I should go ahead and commit, but I'm hesitating a lot. Anybody else getting cold feet? I have commitment issues and three years is a long time.

I sent an email accepting my admission yesterday in the early afternoon, and have not received back a reply yet. Is this normal in anyone else's experience?

Alabama (similar scholarship). I know the choice that makes sense is Indiana. If I want to practice in the midwest, the choice is obvious. Between the two regions, I would prefer the midwest. And that's the thing - it makes sense to go ahead and pull the trigger. It's just so final at that point. Just wanted to see if anybody else was having trouble clicking the send button even though it's doesn't make sense to have hesitation.

I feel the same way. I have a lot of similar offers and am clueless as to which is the right move. 3 years is a hell of a long time and the midwest is a foreign concept to me.

It's not binding in the way that they can compel you to attend, but functionally to me, it is, since other school has a deadline of 4/1 as well and I will be declining one offer if I accept the other. Also, I would feel that I would have an ethical responsibility to attend if I say I am going to attend (unless something unforeseen happens that would prevent me from attending law school altogether)

I had the e-mail acceptance in draft status for two days, and occasionally looked at it at work to see if I could get myself to do it. A couple times I got sick to my stomach, really. Lotta commitment, and a change in my life and career. Was a struggle to hit 'send' for sure. Good luck

Yeah, I sent it to two different emails just in case. But I will still be calling them Friday if I do not get a response back.

Where ya' from? I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with Bloomington. If you're used to the 24 hr/day accessibility of anything you want like NYC, it will fail to live up to those expectations, but it's a big enough town and diverse enough student population to have a lot to offer, I think.
