did they email it to you? or how did you get it?
Yes, I got an email telling me to create my Columbia email account and with instructions on how to do it. They said financial aid and everything will be communicated to my Columbia email.
EDIT: It is just my initials and 4 random numbers @columbia.edu. Bummer!

This thread is way too dead!
Sadly, CLS has the same e-mail format (initials + four random numbers @columbia.edu). However, you can get an additional vanity of your
first.lastname@law.columbia.edu, which will route to your "real" CLS address.
Tell me more about how to get the vanity email!

I have no idea - it might be automatic, but this was, like, 2 years ago for me. E-mail CLS and ask.

Hmm... should I be worried if I haven't gotten this? I've submitted everything that's been required so far except the Fin Aid stuff... Sad

Hi all!
I hope a ton of you are coming to next week's ASW! My boyfriend (a fellow 2L) and I are showing our 2-bedroom unfurnished (non-couples housing) UAH apartment next Wednesday from 1:30-2:15. We were both in your shoes 2 years ago, and faced many of the same decisions you're facing right now. We really hope you all stop by, since we're more than happy to answer any questions you have about the school or the decisionmaking process.

Oh god, I'd rather just do that "secret phrase" people were talking about in this (or another?) thread. But seriously, your ASW packet will list the apartments being shown on Wednesday, and I'm pretty sure we'll be the only 2-bedroom unfurnished UAH apartment showing at that time - you'll see my name listed above the apartment address.

EDIT: You can also just PM me, and I'll give you my name/e-mail address for easier contact. As I said, I'm happy to be a resource.

Got the acceptance letter today. Reading TLS and blogs has convinced me to think very very carefully about the decision, and I will probably end up staying at my current job.

What are you all going to wear to the Admitted Student events? I want to make sure I'm not over or under dressed.

Wear something nice - a skirt and blouse if you're a woman, khakis/dress pants and a button down if you're a man. Jeans and a nice top is also passable, honestly. Just don't wear a suit, or even touch business casual. Everyone at these things is laid back, and at the last ASW we made fun of the 3-4 people who had showed up wearing suits.

Does anyone know if you have to officially accept your offer for CLS to process your housing application? You're able to apply as an accepted student...
also, any idea why they offer potential move-in dates as early as May/June when they say they read housing applications May-August?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
