HAHA, I've seen those. But mine is real. One really can buy and own a Silver Fox as friendly and loving as a dog while as clean as a cat...Emma. wrote:--LinkRemoved--Saul Goodman wrote:What about some exotic pets?

Holy SHIT they're cute.Saul Goodman wrote:What about some exotic pets? Did you guys ever here about the Russian project which successfully domesticated the Silver Fox? After a few generations, they wagged their tales, fetched, and curled into little balls. I say we buy one as a UChi TLS Mascot:

That's the reaction I was going for... Of course, unless we find a more reasonably priced source we'd have to get each student in the incoming class to pay $40 for a single fox...Dany wrote:Holy SHIT they're cute.Saul Goodman wrote:What about some exotic pets? The fox experiment is amazing. I told my hairstylist about it the other day. I'd be interested in picture of the the aggressive group as kits. I wonder if they're as cute?
PET PIC SPAMMING TIME!!!

JFocat is ashamed that we haven't gotten to page 132 yet...

My new favorite picture of JFocat. My friend was pet-sitting this weekend during epic trip (drove from Atl to DC for a wedding), and he takes great pictures.

JFocorgidog wasn't cooperating though, cause he missed JFo (of course). Look at that sad face!

He sat by the table awaiting my return, apparently. You can definitely see the corgi ears in this picture.

JFohound was sad too. It was a joyful reunion when I got home for all concerned.
I also have to show you all my favorite part of the whole trip (well, except for my friends getting hitched).

This was a sign at the sketchy gas station bathroom. So, you turn to your left...

Just in case you were confused.

Savannahs are illegal in Georgia, ironically.
Speaking of exotic pets, I'm sure we've all heard of this guy:

If I could have ANY pet and there were no pets that needed rescuing, I would have:
--ImageRemoved--
A Cardigan Welsh Corgi (I like them better than Pembrokes).

A Keeshound (they're about 40 pounds of HAPPY).
--ImageRemoved--
A Norwegian Forest Cat
AND

Neutered, of course.

JFo I heard Slow Lorises were terrible creatures. And that they'll poison you.

They will, which is why I would never have one. Plus, I don't think they do well in captivity. The exotic pet trade is pretty awful.Dany wrote:JFo I heard Slow Lorises were terrible creatures. And that they'll poison you.
But don't tell that to this guy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g9f-6jygRJk

Y'all probably aren't up as early as me today, but I hope everyone got their host contact name this morning like I did. I hope he's not watching, but he's already been sufficiently googled and found, so far, to be perfectly sufficient and normal-looking.
I'm also sad that I had to go to bed so early and miss all of these kittehs. Hate mah life.

Lurky lurker here. I haven't been participating in the love fests on this thread, but I felt the need to join in after I laughed hysterically at the grudge kitteh (and the moose hat - both on the kitteh and the person soon to be alphamoose). That's fantastic. I also loved the pet photos, and I definitely watched a documentary on netflix that featured the silver foxes that were bred to be tame/more wild. Also, JFo, your cute doggies looked super sad without you.sarahlawg wrote:

I haven't made my final decision yet, but I'm looking forward to meeting you guys in a couple days here. If I do choose Chi, I have some cute puppies to contribute as well!

That second photo by the laptop looks very memeable. I might have to sit down and do some brainstorming when I get home.afcanoe wrote:Lurky lurker here.
