Is the questionnaire the same thing as entrance counseling? I feel it may be.
yeah, sorry, thats what i meant. i just thought "entrance counseling" didn't actually describe what it actually was... (more like a loan exam - but with a blatant answer pattern that made it possible to pass without reading anything...) lol.

For those who haven't done it, here's the answer key:

All true/false questions are true; all MC questions are 'All of the Above'

Enjoy!

Yeah, yesterday. Took like three minutes.

And holy shit New York is bad for my health and my wallet. I feel like someone removed part of my brain with an ice cream scoop.

Just wait until the rest of us get there -- I think collective liver failure may be in the cards for us this year.

I'm going to assume that this is what C&F stands for for real.

So who is planning the first (of many) meetups? Any native NYers have suggestions for legit spots?

do you guys think ED acceptance applicants are given less chances of being given the RTK and other scholarships or is that process completely separate?

I can't imagine they'd give a full ride to someone who ED'd. Keep in mind that the point of those scholarships is to lure in HYS-caliber candidates with free money.

There are approximately 10,000 bars between my apartment in Alphabet City and the law school. The research is exhausting both physically and mentally, but I'm doing my best to get the lay of the land here.

Good man. I can offer advice from my years of liver-destroying activities in the neighborhood if you need some help.

Well I'm pretty much ready to start tomorrow if you want. Sounds like other TLS are also already in the city?

Edit: not sure how I butchered the quote but... not caring.

Clearly, you've already started drinking. I get in early next week, will put something up either here or on FB for a TLS meetup.

That's because it's not only about the numbers for that scholarship, but their numbers don't keep them from being HYS-caliber applicants. Your numbers matter to get into the school, other stuff matters for this scholly.

Those schollies are definitely more holistic than the admissions process. Usually the people that receive them have to make the decision of whether to take the full ride or attend one of HYS. I definitely know of a couple RTKers with sub-median numbers. I know one non-URM sub 170 RTKer (didn't end up accepting it though).

Basically, I'm under the impression that the scholarships are awarded mostly on non-numbers factors. But, because of their non-numbers factors, those individuals are usually HYS-type applicants.

+1, both my MPNs :( I'm gonna call later in the week maybe to check up on it. Did you guys see the convo in FB group about printing out the bursar bill and writing "loans pending" and having to send it back by today? We don't have to do that for federal loans right? Sorry if this was already discussed ...I'm super lazy..

Did not get this email. I wonder if I'm the gunner who got everything done, or if they just forgot about me

Got the email as well, I can see from the studentloans.gov site that I have them completed though.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
