pro tip- do not wear a duke shirt to chapel hill during duke-unc. They start fires in the streets if they beat duke and want your shirt.

Mine said that it was mailed 3/4 which means it should be in my mailbox at home... RIGHT NOW. I guess I'll let you all know what it says when I get home from work tonight.

Guess I was wrong there. Nothing yesterday in the mail, hopefully today?

I seem to have killed the "Visiting Duke" thread, but hopefully this question will not signal the demise of this one...

Has anyone who's visiting for ASW looked into the accommodations at the Fuqua school? There's no information about rates, etc. so I thought I'd ask around before calling.

You have to call for rates, http://www.fuqua.duke.edu/admin/rdtc/gu ... tions.html, I'm sure they vary

Millenium hotel is a decent hotel w/good rates and accessibility to Duke. They offer a free shuttle to campus or elsewhere

Got mine Saturday. Still annoyed. Debating negotiating based on other offers -- has anyone tried at Duke yet?

Same here. I doubt they are going to increase it all that much anyway for me? I guess no Duke...

Hey guys, when you sent in your scholarship forms did you choose to have both merit and financial need or just merit?

Thanks!

If you don't mind me asking, what was your total (merit-based) scholarship amount?

Yeah, that's kinda underwhelming given your stats/background. But if you don't want it, feel free to send it my way.

I know, it is a little underwhelming. I am grateful to get anything, just can't look at the letter and get excited about it with UVA in mind. I am not sure negotiating would do anything given the starting point. And it took me so long to get accepted ... I guess I will try to send it your way?

I got 20k/year for a deans scholly.

So don't understand: I didn't get any need-based aid? Just the merit-scholly?

Did you get a 4-page letter. If you also had loans and a budget, most likely you will not get need-based. I am a little confused though, the letter says they will evaluate in May - but that's after the deposit deadlines. I don't think I (or anyone) can count on getting any, so I am just going to take it as merit only. Maybe I will email them.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
