Yeah, I'm okay with this as well.RJ127 wrote:The hilariousness is going to drive us all to drink ourselves stupid before school starts.legalmindedfella wrote:Just to confirm: if I accept the maximum this year, I can take care of the total student contribution by accepting lesser amounts during years or two or three, and be 100% LRAP eligible? That seems to be the group wisdom so far, but can't hurt to ask.
The overall hilariousness of this thread so far also makes me really excited to meet you all. Good group.
Not upset at that fact in the slightest.

I have to stay at mine until the 19th (there go my plans for any type of roadtrip). Pulling in about twice the money I was expecting, though, and with the way the loans are going to go, it's probably a good thing.

I think we're talking Labor Day-ish or so (post here). Probably still early enough that as long as you're registered for direct deposit you can probably hold off on things like books until you get the cashes.
I'm going to assume that orientation has lots of free alcohol to compensate for this.

Re: NYU Class of 2014
Hi all,
I recently (as in yesterday) got off the waitlist. I'm super excited, but right now am just wondering about some logistics. A lot of the forms have deadlines for July 5. Obviously this deadline won't apply to me, but I'm not sure if anyone got in off the WL after this date, or sent in the stuff after. If anyone did, any help on how the admissions office was able to guide you through all of it?
Anyway, can't wait to get through the paperwork and meet you all!

My guess is that you'll probably have a couple of weeks to get things in.

I can now wholeheartedly recommend Rabbit in the Moon for fish and chips and drinks. Anyone else?

I will point out that we are literally MERE STEPS from the Belgian beer bar.Renne Walker wrote:I can now wholeheartedly recommend Rabbit in the Moon for fish and chips and drinks. Anyone else?
Edit: Yelp informs me it is actually named Vol de Nuit. However, as everyone refers to it as "the belgian beer bar" I'm just going to stick with that.

Re: NYU Class of 2014
Hi all,
I know you received your classes, but I'm not sure if you've received a list of required books. I am a rising 2L at NYU and I have a bunch of course case books, as well as pre-1L prep books, that I'm willing to sell to NYU students, if possible. Private message me if interested.
Thanks
