I see other people freaking out and not finishing their reading.
I feel like I'm doing something wrong here. lol
Are you doing any supplements? I feel this way too though. I am ahead of the readings yet I feel like I always should be doing more, just don't have anything to do. And I don't want to get too ahead in the readings either...
But also people read at different speeds so that could play a factor as well.

Already did. But I'll stick around and see what happens I guess. This year's OCI thread was disheartening.

This school is serious shit. 90% of the professors come from Harvard etc... and all they can do is joke about how we'll never get jobs, and everyone laughs, not knowing how serious the professors are actually being.

So true. Its funny how its changed. When I was a 1L they were saying "everyone gets a job" "when you're at big law firm....". Now they all make jokes about no one getting jobs and people just laugh. I can't imagine the percent of my 3L classmates that are jobless.

The best part is when you're a 2L the CDO will literally tell you not to come bother them during the week they're dealing with 1Ls. Here's the big secret--all they care about is 1Ls leading up to OCI. After that, they know everyone's already so far ahead in terms of debt and time wasted learning useless SHIT that they know there's little risk of dropouts (i.e. loss of tuition money from unsuspecting fools).
Btw, this is coming from a top 20%er at this piece of shit school.

Pretty sure everyone's already well aware that all schools are simply out for their own interest. What's your problem with that anyway? Are you a communist or something?
Also, what kinda little girl goes around trash talking their own school?

^ Are you a prospective student or a 1L?
Either way, can't wait for you to be a 2L at GW. I'll tell you to go back and read what you posted about me trash talking this piece of shit school, hehe.

I'm honestly not trying to rub this is anyone's face, because I feel terrible for all of you without jobs, but I tried to warn those on this board about attending a school like GW, almost three years ago:
http://www.top-law-schools.com/archives ... =4&t=60759
I'd be curious to hear from some current GW students or grads. I'm especially curious to hear about the environment at GW three years later, deep into ITE. Also, as was the case then, I'm always happy to take questions from others.

Hey Guys,
I have an unmarked/unhighlighted copy of the book you all are using for ConLaw that I would like to sell. I'm looking for around $75.00.
PM me if you're interested.
Just forewarning, I am out of town and won't be back in DC until January 8th (so that'll be the earliest I can get it to anyone).

Good luck 1Ls. Sorry you have to wait at least a month for any grades.

GermX's concerns may be genuine (especially for the current 3L's) but I don't personally know anyone in the top 25% without something lined up in the field they wanted. Be it firm, government, or PI.
But there's a whole lot of depressed people in the bottom half. Shit gets ugly.

Always Credited, I graduated GW two years ago (Class of 2010) and it was pretty much the same way then. Though I'd say it was more like everyone in the top 35% who had something lined up at least for Summer 2L year. I haven't been keeping up with firm practices (left my firm for gvmt work after a year), so I'm not sure if they reverted back to hiring their entire summer classes? My year was the first year firms were really starting to pick and choose SA's to ask back and it made everything a bit of a gamble.

Hi everyone,
I got in as a transfer to GW from a Tier 3/4 law school this past week, and I was wondering if anyone could recommend housing VERY close to campus.
I am already on the wait list for the Aston - not sure if the waitlist will eliminate itself by the time I need to move to DC. I must have something furnished and VERY close to the school as I am coming from the southwestern united states and cannot just put everything in my car and go to a new apartment this time around.
As for OCIs and all that jazz, I already had something (paid) lined up for this summer and have something (paid) for next summer back home so I don't care too much about that.
If you are looking for a roommate, I am a female, and the music I will play in my room (if I do at all) is Enya or 70s music. My downside is I may be on the phone/skype a lot with family or friends (I will miss them bunches) and sometimes I have stacks of dirty clothes in my room (because not all of it fits in my basket).
Thanks!

For all 2L/3L classes they just get posted whenever. You may already have some.

Feels like it was yesterday. I was a doe-eyed 0L, applying to law school, and now I'm studying for the bar.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
