It's weird that they email decisions on sundays. Last cycle I was admitted on a sunday.

I received my e-mail from Duke today, "priority waitlisted" whatever that means. Honestly I'm a little shocked I didn't get right in. Oh well, here's to hoping Michigan and Columbia admissions don't feel the same way about my app as Duke did.

That's discouraging seeing as we're numbers twins. Did you write a Why Duke?

I didn't, though now I wish I had obviously. I'm wondering if I should write one and send it in as supplemental, I suppose it couldn't hurt.

I got priority waitlisted last year. What that means, from my personal experience, is that they leave you hanging from november all the way until the next august only to offer you an opportunity to have your credentials reevaluated for the next cycle. then they reject you. I hate duke and i hope they loose to a 16 seed this year.

Admitted priority track today! Heard at 9:30pm Durham time, kind of strange... Applied 11/27. Its my first I've heard back from, but I'll potentially be seeing some of you in the fall! Visits are next...

Hi all!

I was also admitted ED (after priority reserve last cycle), and I just wanted to pop in and say, 'hello'! I'm tremendously excited for next year. For those of us who were given the (surprise) windfall of a non-academic year, how have you been passing your time?

I went on my customary post-collegiate backpacking trip and now I'm teaching the SAT and working as a paralegal for a law firm. Has anyone started looking at housing options? Been taking continuing education classes?

Hi everyone! I got in 12/17 under Priority Track for the regular J.D. fall start, and out of the schools I've heard back from so far, Duke's my top choice. I'm still banking on getting some other acceptances, but it's possible I may not, in which case I would see you all next Fall!
