I found an RTKer with a date of 3/27--was that the date they knew they got it for sure? I thought people only heard back in April after interviews.

Edit: Oh eff it, someone with a better profile had 2/18, interview invite, 3/27, interview, 3/28, offer.

Maybe I'm just accustomed to more from the south :) Although my question was regarding ASWs and I was told to email someone.. I did, and shortly after got the form email about ASWs. Did everyone get that again? I'm hoping it wasn't the response because it wouldn't really answer my question.
Yeah...as an NYU student I have to say that I had the same experience when I was applying, but it doesn't translate to the real life NYU experience. The staff and professors couldn't be more genial once you are actually in attendance. I know it doesn't make you feel better, but I just wanted to share that.

Almost all the applicants heard within two weeks of each other last year; with the programs that offer more than one scholarship (RTK, AnBryce, etc) being in the same week of each other.

People heard a few days later if they didn't get it, but based on TLS you can usually figure it out.

that's what it seems like so far?
That should be it...for now.

I think those that got scholarships had to fill out one more form, but they may have streamlined that process.

Probably on the social aspect/meeting your future classmates.

Speaking of... Is anyone else planning on being at the March 3-4 ASW?

this just in: those who have enrolled should be able to now generate a nyu netid. bad news: they choose it for you. lame. now i have to walk around with an abc123@nyu.edu email address. very lame. other bad news: you cant really login to nyuhome with it so it's kind of pointless at this point.

I just go really excited, but then really disappointed about the random email address.

Yeah... I had spent last few months (weird it's been that long) thinking about what I would use. Real let down. And disappointing on my part that I spent time thinking about this.

You can set up a personal address that can be whatever you like. You'll still have the random one, but you can always give people the one you choose. It's under preferences at the top of the screen after you log in. Note that you can only change your personal one once a year, so pick one you like the first time!

Nice! It seems like not many TLSers are going to the first one.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
