UVA Class of 2014 Forum

Of the schools I've visited so far I think that NYU had the hottest guys, but I've heard from my friends in LS now that UVa generally beats Penn and Michigan. My student hosts at UVa gossiped quite a bit about how many of their classmates were getting engaged to each other, sooo this is a legitimate concern. haha

I was going to comment that there doesn't seem to be a lot of LGBT at UVA, at least not to the proportion at the other schools I visited.

For those of you interested the Jeffersonian has moved down to #22 on the waiting list at least. I signed for a 1BR so they may still be higher up on the list for 2BR's. The apartment manager was real nice and helpful, even sent me pictures of the place before I signed.

so any awkwardness can subside: he's been permanently banned from the boards. there were a bunch of other alts, and they weren't particularly pleasant. with any luck, that's just how he acts on the internet, but if not it'll be pretty easy to determine who to avoid if you ever meet him.

guys, i totally just saw the UVA law dean walking through o'hare airport in chicago. walked right by me. this was about 6 days after he spoke to prospective students as ASW in cville, the trip i was coming home from! i think it's a good sign

Given that it looks like a bunch of people are not going to be able to stay with students for ASWII and are going to need to find hotels at the last minute, where is everyone planning on staying?

I got an email two days ago advising me to start looking for a hotel so I'd prefer to find a place with a decent TLS/UVA contingent.

haha, no. he was walking with another guy and they were talking about something that seemed important. he looked at me for about one second as i stared at him - i don't think he recognized me, though i was sitting in the front row when he spoke last friday. i said to my mom "omg that's the UVA law dean!" and she's like "oh yeah he does look important." he totally did.

I'm staying at a Comfort Inn (telling them you're with the law school makes it $83/night...or at least that was still the case when I booked) that is just 1.5 miles from the law school according to google maps. I can't speak to whether anyone else is staying there as well though...
