Anyways, was hoping to get an idea of which ones are giving better discounts (so I don't have to call them all...)
Also, if anyone was wondering about availability for the Bulls game, I e-mailed one of the coordinators about it and she said that in the past, everyone who has wanted to go has been able to.
That's awesome on the bulls game! Chris Paul vs. Derrick Rose!!
And I found out sunday night that I'll be hosted

, hopefully others got/get that too!
Congrats SirWilliam!

Day 1 complete. Pretty low-key. I arrived late due to travel plans, so I missed the school/city tours offered. Met the infamous Johann (he of "score release is imminent" fame). Initial impression: awesome campus on the shore of Lake Michigan. Colder than I expected (and I'm from the upper Midwest). Admits are friendly and experienced, most with cool stories - no undergrad-ness going on. Geographically diverse, too. Restaurant for dinner was great.
More tomorrow. We get to meet Justice Sotomayor!

What restaurant did they take you all to?
Kind of stinks that they did this on Sunday and Monday this year because usually some of the student groups will take the diverse admits out drinking. But I suppose seeing Sotomayor will make up for it.

Dinner was at Gino's, and afterwards a few of us ended up going out after to O'Tooles, all in all it was a great group of people, hoping that most end up choosing NU....

It was a fantastic time! I'm totally sold. I also met several TLSers there, hooray. Everyone was really sweet and very intelligent, and Sotomayor's visit was amazing. I think everybody is still at the Bulls game--I have to work tomorrow and couldn't go

I'll also be there for the April ASW--can't wait to meet the rest of you...

Hey all, I was admitted to NU after the 3/01 financial aid deadline, so I have a couple of days to do the essays for the application. I thought part of an essay prompt was a little ambiguous, though, so could someone help shed light on what they think it could mean?
"Northwestern Law administers an extensive program of scholarships and grants, all of which are awarded on a combined basis of merit and financial need. Please assess your position for merit aid and discuss your financial need for aid."
I assume that they want us to discuss why we think we qualify for merit aid?
Thanks!!

It takes a bit for the admin to approve your request. Not much happening on the page so hopefully you can make it come to life when you can access it

I think the general take about this is to talk about your strongest accomplishments/resume points. Tell a short story about why they are unique accomplishments and wrap it up with "thus I deserve a full ride plus living allowance." Well that was my ending, you'll need to come up with your own

Right, essentially convince them you are worthy of aid. If you look a couple pages back some gave ideas ranging from LSAT/gpa to unique experiences to other offers. Good luck!
