They've been holding the overall university graduation ceremony in Yankee Stadium lately; don't know where the law school ceremony is held.law_monkey wrote:It's probably similar to other large schools where they have a main commencement for everyone and then individual ceremonies by school/department. I Saw somewhere on the website that the two locations are Yankee stadium and Madison square garden. Idk if that's right, but I'm pretty sure I saw it somewhere...ahduth wrote:They've been holding the overall university graduation ceremony in Yankee Stadium lately; don't know where the law school ceremony is held.law_monkey wrote:It's probably similar to other large schools where they have a main commencement for everyone and then individual ceremonies by school/department. I don't know if I could live with either location considering my sports loyalties...
I'll just say it's the home court of the Red Storm, right?

My sister graduated last year, and it was in Yankee Stadium. They very well may try to switch it though, since Yankee Stadium is obviously impacted by the weather.birdlaw117 wrote:I Saw somewhere on the website that the two locations are Yankee stadium and Madison square garden. Last year, convocation was at Madison Square Garden. This year it is at The Beacon Theater. Commencement is at Yankee Stadium.

Swank. Convocation is just for the law school, and commencement is the entire university? I was pretty drunk through that entire graduation celebration process last time... the details were kind of lost on me.birdlaw117 wrote:Last year, convocation was at Madison Square Garden. That is correct. Yeah, any of those locations would be bomb.ahduth wrote:Swank. Convocation is just for the law school, and commencement is the entire university? I think we're getting ahead of ourselves here...
Let's at least get through 1L year first--intact--and then we can talk about graduation.

There's really 51 transfers in? That seems really high for some reason.incompetentia wrote:

Re: NYU Class of 2014
That is extremely high, but I'm not terribly surprised. Considering the prestige difference we see with the 0Ls between T6 and the rest of the T14 (as well as the corresponding class sizes), I'd imagine it's probably the right mix of accessibility and desirability.
(51 -is- 50% higher than the number of transfers into H, though. Kind of funny.)

It's clearly a type. Obviously 5.1 students transferred in and not 51.

Well you do know the average American has 2.3 children right? I feel like if someone can give birth to a third of a child, then .1 of a person can perform very well on the LSAT.spacepenguin wrote:law_monkey wrote:Not a typo or a type. Do they score 17.3 points?
I guess that's why they're not going to Columbia - their admissions index must be like 0.449
