I dunno, but these people are boring today.neyaae wrote:Question about rooms - the O room in D'Ag looks like it has a bigger common space than the C room in Mercer. Does anyone know how big it really is? Like big enough for a futon and tv? Is it worth the smaller rooms to have this larger common space?

The D'ag rooms are going to be tiny either way. 400/530 for 2/3BR rooms won't leave you that much room.
Average bedroom size for each is listed, right? Shoudl be able to figure out what the square footage of the common area is

Gonna buckle down and fill out my on campus housing app today. Any quick tips/suggestions before I fire this thing off? Seems like housing has been discussed ad nauseum ITT but dammit, I'm too lazy to scroll back.

Did you get any chance to visit the school and go through each hall?
The size difference was pretty noticeable but I'd say neither is really stereotypical NY, if that's something that matters to you

Emma Watson won't approve of my 10x11 room though...
This is a problem.

Couldn't do the housing tour. Are the studios in D'Ag ridiculously tiny? Space isn't really matter to me as long as I can can just have an area to cook, study, sleep and shower.
The $1,500+ and $1,700+ studios seem legit but I wish I had seen them first. Prefer not to have roommates. Too many bad experiences in the past.

They didn't show the studios when I took the housing tour, although I requested to see.RJ127 wrote:Couldn't do the housing tour. Are the studios in D'Ag ridiculously tiny? Space isn't really matter to me as long as I can can just have an area to cook, study, sleep and shower.

180 square feet is not -that- crazy - it just means that all your non-kitchen non-bathroom space is bedroom. I, for one, don't mind this at all.
And really, if Emma is going to be like that about your room, she's not good enough for you anyway.

BTW spacepenguin we still need to work out our plan for who gets to bring their celebrity date to which parties. That way Emma and James don't suspect our motives.
And if you could all help me make sure that James and Sanchez don't find out about each other it would be much appreciated.

Ummm no thanks. I can handle them both as long as they don't know the other one exists (in my love life).incompetentia wrote:Do you need one to be taken off your hands for the time being?law_monkey wrote:BTW spacepenguin we still need to work out our plan for who gets to bring their celebrity date to which parties. As for me, I need to remember not to make Harry Potter references on any given occasion...it'd probably weird her out.

She's been in other films! (rather, "another film")
Although I can't imagine that a lot of these people want to talk about their work constantly

I'll talk about anything she wants--including giving her sound advice about her going topless in any future movies to avoid being typecast.

Well, once you snag her, why would you want her to do that? Not sure this is the best idea for your relationship herespacepenguin wrote:I'll talk about anything she wants--including giving her sound advice about her going topless in any future movies to avoid being typecast.

I don't want to be 'that guy'
She's free to do as she pleases. If I come off as the jealous type that won't let her pursue her ambitions as an A-list actress, then where does that put me then? I've done the cost benefit analysis of my potential actions; this maximizes utility for the both of us. Her potential earnings as an actress will increase dramatically if she isn't type cast, which would eventually trickle down to me, for my benefit. If the cost for a future of financial security and torrential amounts of love making is merely letting others see her nude....then clearly the economic decision would be on the side of letting her do as she pleases. You could argue that going nude would marginalize our relationship as it opens up more market competition in the form of more able suitors. I would counter that as the benefactor who advised her in the first place, advice aimed to please her, I offer intangible goods that the competition simply will not be able to supply.
But really, I didn't think it through.

Either you're making a false assumption here, or you already know more about her than I think. Either way, we might have to slow this one down and think about it.If the cost for a future of financial security and torrential amounts of love making is merely letting others see her nude

Didn't you catch the part of my post where I said that I didn't really think this through.
That wasn't sarcasm, I meant it.
But you're right, I'm getting ahead of myself.

WTH, people are trying to convince me to get student housing now. I don't want to have to make any more decisions at the moment.
