I called on Monday and they were really nice and said they'd get it to me soon, but to call on Friday if I hadn't heard anything. So, I called today at like 1:00 EST and some older lady kind of snapped at me and said pretty much "we'll get to it when we get to it".
This wouldn't be that much of an issue if I didn't have a lot of potential landlords on the line

^Ditto. I have this awful feeling that I'm gonna be screwed out of like $30k because I didn't get one more question right on the LSAT.tipler4213 wrote:Nice play though--mind PMing me your digits?anti-phronimos wrote:I saw this^^ and decided I'd give it a shot today--I had no idea my file was ready.Arbiter213 wrote:I met with Patina today and she told me to call wed (sounds like the same deal) if I hadn't heard yet. Ah, my 90k from Cornell pushed Michigan to offer me 60k. I think that's the end of my cycle folks.
Good luck to those awaiting financial aid!

I'm worried that I'm hoping for too much aid.
wondering if i should brace myself for a mere 5k per year...

I know Hughes has the dining hall open 10-2 M-F, but what do students in Hughes do for dinner and on the weekends? Dining hall meal plan, order out, or cook for themselves?

Mostly order out/cook in the kitchen. I don't know anyone that is on any of the campus meal plans.JerrySeinfeld wrote:I know Hughes has the dining hall open 10-2 M-F, but what do students in Hughes do for dinner and on the weekends? Dining hall meal plan, order out, or cook for themselves?

There's just one kitchen right? Does it get packed at all? Clearly, food is important to me.Juff wrote:Mostly order out/cook in the kitchen. Yes and not at all, unless someone is preparing an elaborate meal which rarely happens.JerrySeinfeld wrote:There's just one kitchen right? Does it get packed at all? I've already ruined too much of the surprises that come with acceptances, I think I'm just going to wait for them to mail it; but it's nice to know that the offers have started.

The form was due March 15th, but I'm not sure whether that's a "hard" deadline. Just send it in as soon as possible is my recommendation.

Apparently from their website the institutional form was only required to be considered for "institutional grants". What are those!??!
I'm so mad. I submitted all of the FAFSA+Needbased+Tax info in February...

Pretty sure those are Cornell-based grants/scholarships. So if you are eligible for any need based or merit based aid from Cornell, that's what it's under...

Edit: Even if they accept the forms I have a feeling it will backfire on me since they might see me as lazy and incompetent.

Received award via e-mail per phone request (probably outing myself, but I have nothing to hide)... happy. Not ecstatic, but happy. Best of luck to everyone.
