i emailed them about that sometime early last week. they still haven't got to me. i'll post when i get a reply.
ohh very cool...thanks
I think on the faaps page is has a follow up tab if we have to do anything else. I don't think mine has shown anything yet. I'm pretty sure I saw somewhere that we have to fill out the MPN in July or something.

Sup people, just sent in my enroll form/deposit... Still riding some waitlists, but I still am pumped about NYU. Hopefully it will be a good next three years, despite law school horror stories. I liked NYUs emphasis on its relaxed atmosphere, considering that I'm the total opposite of a gunner.

See yall in the Village soon

I wonder how closely linked TLS-posting is to becoming a gunner.

But as far as all that goes, legal writing being ungraded was a definite plus in the NYU column.

Three questions I asked Financial Aid:

1. Where do I send in my and my parent's 2010 Tax Returns?
2. I signed up for FAFSA in February, if i want to fill the "difference/gap" in my financial package with Federal Direct Graduate Plus Loans, do I need to fill out another application?
3. I still have Federal Undergraduate loans. If I want to defer payments while I am in law school, do I need to fill out a form through NYU?

Their replies:

1. Please send your tax returns to the address listed below.
2. We will be sending out information about the loan application process in June to enrolling students. If you have completed the FAFSA, you do not need to do anything else until that time.
3. Your loans should be automatically deferred. The Law School, together with the rest of the University, uses the National Student Clearinghouse (http://www.studentclearinghouse.org/) to communicate enrollment information to third parties, such as your lenders. The enrollment status of all students is reported on a monthly basis by New York University to the Clearinghouse. The Clearinghouse, in turn, reports enrollment status to lenders. Access Group receives updates from NSC. However, if your lender requires a form, you should forward the form (by mail, fax, or email) to the law school’s Office of Records and Registration, Furman Hall, Room 400, New York, NY 10012, fax (212) 995-4523, or email law.registration@nyu.edu.

Please feel free to contact us with any additional questions.

Sincerely,

Joel Schoenecker

I know someone asked about #2 but I thought might as well just paste everything in case someone wanted to know the other questions too.

I haven't been in school for awhile, I'm pretty pumped to be studying stuff for my own benefit again. Does that make me a gunner?

Probably. But it's a good thing

Yeah that's the kind of shizz that will piss me off, too. I don't even see those people as gunners; just see them as annoying. The gunners, to me, are the closet studiers doing 40+ hour weeks all semest

I think a few people asked about this, but how do we go about setting up our NYU email accounts? Do we receive an email or something prompting us to set it up?

admitted students site -> Enrolling at NYU Law ->NYUHome Account

There are directions there. You're supposed to wait 10 days and they will send you an email with instructions but it might work for you now. This is all assuming you didn't already do this. If you already did this, then go to NYUHome and go to preferences, edit personal address. Then wait a few hours, sync to your Gmail and never go to NYUHome again.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
