LSP isn't that cheap for a studio. But they are extremely large studios.

McClurg was pretty flexible with move-in dates, so I started my lease on the day that I arrive in Chicago, 8/17.antonin wrote:Are most of you guys starting August or September leases. I find it quite annoying that Northwestern expects us to be there on August 22. My schedule with work, traveling and Chicago is driving me crazy.

Ya, I decided to splurge on a studio at McClurg. Pretty excited to have my own place, actually.Aine wrote:lawandi --did you manage to find housing?lawandi wrote:We're going to get along.splitmuch wrote: This will be outting myself if anyone saw it but I actually drunkenly replied to that with something like "America, Fuck yeah!"

Tune-Yards is playing in Chicago on November 10th and 11th (a Wednesday and Thursday). Anybody listen to them/interested in going?

Re: Northwestern Law Class of 2014
I ended up getting a studio in Onterie when I visited this weekend. I'm used to living alone and it work much better for me. I just thought it was worth it to be closer to campus for 1L. The only other place that I saw that was cheaper was a little rat hole on the other side of Michigan that didn't even have kitchen counters. But I've heard that a lot of other law students are in the building, so that should be nice. I randomly ran into Johan while I was on campus for a few minutes, and he got me really excited about coming to Northwestern! I'm so excited to meet all of you in a month!

Fixed
Also, when I get back to my place in two weeks we've got a rooftop pool with grills and stuff and my roommates and I are probably gonna have a cookout and a keg with some of our friends in Chicago. Any NU people would be more than welcome.

If I have an old copy of a vaccination record signed by a doctor do I need to go in to have the northwestern page filled out by a medical provider or can I just attach what I have?

You don't need to go in and waste and afternoon at your doc's for the records. You can call your doctor's office and let them know you are going back to school and faxing them the form to fill out, and they can fax it back to you or directly to Northwestern. All your doc will do is attach the same records and sign the front page of the Northwestern form; you can try just sending them in yourself, but I'm not sure if the school will take them without having their form filled out.splitmuch wrote:If I have an old copy of a vaccination record signed by a doctor do I need to go in to have the northwestern page filled out by a medical provider or can I just attach what I have?

Anyone send in the application to sign up for a gym membership through the school? Do they give you a notification of some sort?

Yeah, I sent one in and got an e-mail from them about a week and a half later saying I was signed up to start in August.splitmuch wrote:Anyone send in the application to sign up for a gym membership through the school? Do they give you a notification of some sort?

Damn. I may wait. $180 is kind of important to me when I'm about to move across the country.bdubs wrote:You send them a check for $180 to cover the whole year.Flips88 wrote:Do we have to pay any dues now or wait till we start?bdubs wrote:Yeah, I sent one in and got an e-mail from them about a week and a half later saying I was signed up to start in August.splitmuch wrote:Anyone send in the application to sign up for a gym membership through the school?
