Now that I'm official, does anyone know if there's a facebook group for our class?

Thanks! The ASW this weekend TOTALLY won me over! I'm so excited to be starting in the fall!

I'll work out with you! You can save me if I have a heart attack, haha.er doctor wrote: LOL I'm an ER doctor...I long ago replaced my bloodstream with coffee, and that has done nothing for my waistline. I think I might need to get off my ass and work out once in a while.

I would be interested in joining the group "people going to law school for the free gym membership."math101 wrote:I'll work out with you! Thank you. Regardless, I'm also in the situation of hoping that I can lose a few pounds in law school. Get into shape before going pro.Entchen wrote:ftfy.thelaststraw05 wrote:I would be interested in joining the group "people going to law school for themath101 wrote:I'll work out with you! Yeah, if Cooley did a ranking of law school gyms, GTown would be #1hipstermafia wrote:i may legit go to georgetown for the gym

I went to check out the B-school gym at Mich while I was there in January (it's open to b-school [$100/semester] and law students [$150/semester]). While it was impressive in its state-of-the-art-ness, there were not very many free weights at all. I think I will try to check out the CCRB and IMSB before shelling out the cash for the b-school gym.

Before law school: I worked out six days a week HARD. I typically ran more than twenty miles a week, and lifted weights for 60-90 minutes a day on MWF. Was extremely motivated.thelaststraw05 wrote: Thank you. Regardless, I'm also in the situation of hoping that I can lose a few pounds in law school. Get into shape before going pro.
Law school has destroyed me. I've never been in an environment in which it is more difficult to work out. My body went to hell during 1L. There's a lot of free pizza and people tend to gravitate towards no-prep junk/fast food, and you feel like the opportunity costs for working out are enormous. That being said, I've done a lot better job the second semester, but dear jesus, it is not easy.

During my tour the students raved about the B-school gym but also said they had the best breakfast burritos at the B-school cafe. How the hell am I going to get skinny with all that cheap food around?math101 wrote:Yeah, if Cooley did a ranking of law school gyms, GTown would be #1hipstermafia wrote:i may legit go to georgetown for the gym![]()

Re: Michigan Class of 2014
So, I want to get the awesome folks that wrote me recommendations a Michigan-centric present to thank them for their help. I have my eye on the Michigan snuggie (http://www.mden.com/shopping/product.cg ... ?1013?2017), but I was wondering if people had any ideas about local Ann Arbor/Michigan businesses that might have something I could give. I'm thinking local foods or crafts, something along those lines. Being able to buy online would be a definite plus since I doubt I'll be back in Michigan before late July/early August. I'm thinking about a $25-35 price range, since I've got to buy for three people. Thanks for any ideas!

Zingermans is a famous local business with a LOT of good potential gift items. The website is http://www.zingermans.com. My dad used to send me their brownies and cheese when I was in undergrad and they were much appreciated.whirledpeas86 wrote:So, I want to get the awesome folks that wrote me recommendations a Michigan-centric present to thank them for their help.
