Pretty sure he was referring only to the "c/o" threads. 0Ls without a school tend to be much more neurotic and post obsessively.AssumptionRequired wrote:GULC waiting thread is kicking our assflyingpanda wrote:UVA will have the most pages just like every other year.Heat wrote:Wierd to see our topic not on the top of the TLS Class of 2014 Forum. Try not to think about it right now; it's out of your hands. I know that's easier said than done, though.

I didn't get any information about scholarship $$ in my acceptance letter. Safe bet I didn't get any?

I was 3.4/170 and the only money I got was from the deferral offer. I'd doubt you're getting any.snldude wrote:I didn't get any information about scholarship $$ in my acceptance letter. Safe bet I didn't get a any?

Well it all turned out to be moot anyway. I got the waitlist email about ten seconds after I posted this. I must have ESP.bostonlawchick wrote:Do the 15 days include weekends? I'm sensing a WL![]()

For those interested, 171/3.2x out of state. I guess I just applied too late.
Good luck in Cville everyone, hope you all love it there.

It looks like they may be looking to maintain their averages from here on in, given those numbers were sufficient earlier.ram10 wrote: Just got rejected with the same numbers. I guess we were too late.
There's always the option to delay a year, knowing you'd have an excellent shot with an early application for the class of 2015.

Definitely something I'm considering. I could apply on September 1st next year, have to see how the rest of my cycle goes.albanach wrote:It looks like they may be looking to maintain their averages from here on in, given those numbers were sufficient earlier.ram10 wrote: Just got rejected with the same numbers. So the Jeffersonian apartment applications are up and both of the lease dates they put up are kind of inconvenient. August 16th is the same day orientation starts which would be hectic I think and June 1st is more than two months before school starts. They do have a box for "other" lease dates so I was wondering if any current students on here had any experience with getting another date.

Good question. Also, what is a "personal reference"? They already have spots for boss/landlord/parents/spouse. Should I just put my best friend or my sister?turkeysub wrote:So the Jeffersonian apartment applications are up and both of the lease dates they put up are kind of inconvenient. Hey guys,
I've got a scholarship question for you all.
I didn't get a scholarship offer with my original acceptance, but as a result of offers from other schools, I was planning to write the admissions office a letter asking whether they might now consider offering me money.
To whom would you all address that letter - I'm debating between sending it to Cordell Faulk directly or sending it to the more general admissions email address?
Also, for anyone who's done this previously - in what time frame did you hear back from them/do you think I might expect to hear back from them?

What kind offers are you talking about? I would think it is pretty early to do any scholarship negotiation, as most schools I would think UVA would consider to be peer schools haven't even started giving out $$ yet.muppet263 wrote:Hey guys,

For purposes of anonymity, I'm going to refrain from naming schools. Suffice to say that while the school in question is not a T10 university there are other compelling reasons to accept the offer, (namely, my spouse lives in the city where the school is located; a fact which will be mentioned in the scholarship ask).arism87 wrote:What kind offers are you talking about? I know it's somewhat early, but given the fact that other folks with my stats (above 75 LSAT/above median GPA) received offers with their admission, I'd like to go ahead and try while there's still a decent poll of money to draw from.
That said, I know I'm taking my chances. Was more looking for information on the process.

Yeah, crap, you're right, I was looking at the wrong calendar. Guess August 16th will be fine then, but the question still applies if anyone for any reason wanted to move in earlier/later.

Is is true that if you live in ivy or the jeffersonian that you can't park at the law school? Also, does anyone know someone who has done the walk with textbooks, etc and if they've said it's a problem.
Where else is it suggested to look, even if it's further away and drive. Are there any areas to avoid in terms of traffic? Thanks.

For a 1L it looks like parking is at U-Hall, not the law school. The walk from their would be further than the walk from either Jeffersonian or the closest apartments at Ivy.rmend wrote:Is is true that if you live in ivy or the jeffersonian that you can't park at the law school? Can any current student confirm the parking arrangements?

1. If you live in Ivy or on Arlington, you're not allowed to get a parking pass.
2. I believe at least some 1Ls can and do get parking passes near the law school.
3. If you don't, you can try to park on Arlington Blvd which is free but there are no guarantees a spot will be available.
4. If you don't get a parking pass for near the law school, you can get one for the U-Hall lot which sucks because it's either a bus ride or long walk from the law school.
