I'm assuming you're talking about when we get there. And I'm definitely down for that.

Definitely, sometime during orientation, we should all get together.

I met a couple of you at ASW1 but it could be fun to do something social

Yeah, I stumbled on that. I wanted an NYU-specific perspective though.

don't worry too much about it though. 2013 is lining up to be a MUCH better year than 2011.

not the article itself. i posted this article in this thread originally with the comment that it's a pretty much inane article. wow, some 3ls are unemployed. i bet thats the case everywhere and probably always has been. there's no indication of how many or how that compares to the past.

i meant the exchange, that is, the ridiculous long argument where 0ls, students and alumni fight to the death about CoL and loan payback

I got the fine total of $0,000,000 from the folks at NYU and I'm going.

(I'm also pretty much set on PI work due to my background though so I'm counting on LRAP haha)

It'll be lots of fun.

I'm also doing sticker. I assume I'll get 10-20k/yr from my parents though cuz UG was free. Aiming biglaw. Honestly, saving 45k or whatever by going to Michigan, etc. is great and all, but it means absolutely nothing if you don't get big law, and NYU sets you up to get that better than wherever else you're getting money, period. That and its in the fucking village. I was at a party tonight and literally every single person at the party wants to talk to me about NYU Law, NYC, etc. It's just electric. And its been this way for MONTHS whenever I'm around others (I'm never the one to bring it up for the record). Because it's that exciting and amazing of a place. 210k for what equates to an 75% chance of big law or PI-LRAP and a 20% chance of something with a halfway decent salary that I can at least survive on if all else fails while spending 3 years in the center of the world learning from some of the smartest people in the field, if not the country?
