Congrats! If you don't mind, could you share your stats and whether you're a VA resident?

Nice... I'm likely getting WL'd/dinged since I went complete 11/29 and haven't heard anything yet. I have a slightly higher GPA but a lower LSAT.

Those are very nice numbers, UVA was definitely not a reach for you. CCN would have been a reachhhh.

Congrats on your acceptance though!

Congrats!!! I don't think you were a reach either. A slight reverse splitter maybe, but not a reach.

By the way, do they just routinely compliment everyone on their applications? I was told my application was very well-put-together. I wonder if the compliment was actually genuine...

EDIT: grammar

Thanks, actually my conversation with them was very personalized. We talked about my PS, and how well written it was. It might be more generic if you had auto-admit numbers since they probably won't look too deep into your application.

I think some of the negativity on TLS got to me then because I was convinced that I was only getting into BU, Fordham, and BC

Retaking next Saturday. I'll be preparing applications over Christmas break, so once I get my score I'll be able to immediately apply. Expecting mid-160s to low-170s on the retake, so that's obviously a wide range. Hoping for Michigan, Cornell, UVA (if they'll take another look), Georgetown, Vanderbilt, Texas, etc. It all really depends on the December retake.

It's going pretty well other than the UVA WL. Heard from 4 schools - acceptances at all, including W&L, which I was pretty excited about.

Still waiting on the CA schools though...they definitely are slower than the VA schools..

you have a 3.88 gpa, and are just outside the lsat median...plus you allow them to accept a 3.5 in the low 170s. you had the #'s.

just wondering - do most of you people applying to UVA or in at UVA have a regional preference or do you want to practice in DC and the south after LS?

Wherever I can get a job? I have ties to Texas and the West Coast though. I think I'm pretty flexible at this point.

Same here for the most part. From what I've read, getting a big law NYC gig is significantly easier than doing the same for DC through OGI.

I have ties to DC/NoVA, but NY would be ideal.

And congrats to icouldbuyu (what a name!). Nice to see some more OOS acceptances!

Thanks, deff was a great relief. Good luck on your cycle.

P.S. My Finance Professor used to tell all of his students about how wealthy he was and how he could buy all of our parents, so he was my inspiration for selecting the username and should get some of the credit.

Wierd to see our topic not on the top of the TLS Class of 2014 Forum. Guess reg admission really started elsewhere.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
