I will be at ASD tomorrow. I am a bit perplexed as to why I have not gotten a response to any of my emails to admissions?

Hmmm, Melanie doesn't respond? I just sent her an e-mail dealing with Merit aid. Should I have sent it to someone else?jdemmitt wrote:Who did you email? No. I called today though just to make sure. Sent from NY on Saturday and they received it yesterday.YankeesFan wrote:Did anyone get an email confirming their deposit was received?
Also, in regards to emailing re: merit aid, I emailed both Melanie Nutt and Janet Croemer. Melanie is the one who actually responded to me.

I did not. They re-sent my scholarship email, but nothing confirming my deposit. It did show up on my status checker though, so you might check thereYankeesFan wrote:Did anyone get an email confirming their deposit was received?

I got an e-mail confirming they received my deposit, but I sent the deposit in mid-march and just got the confirmation last week. My status checker did update with the info as well.

I still have not heard from anyone regarding my scholarship. Not feeling too confident in WFU right now.

Regarding your scholarship??? As in you didn't get one and were asking for one? If you were admitted late in the cycle they have to wait til after April 1 to redistribute money once people decline the scholarships they have already sent out.Northeast wrote:I still have not heard from anyone regarding my scholarship. Good luck. They are notorious for their lack of negotiations.SrLaw wrote:To negotiate. I have a good offer but I think my #'s warrant more $.NCtoDC wrote:Regarding your scholarship??? Tagging in. Sent the seat deposit this week. Still holding out for money at Vandy and an admissions decision at UNC, but it's looking more and more like I'll be at Wake in the fall.
Jstyler (or any other current students lurking) - I'm looking at the 3 Crowne properties. Are they basically all the same? I like the location and the price, but I'm worried they'll be overrun with noisy undergrads. Any experience there?

LOL! I've also had several emails with no responses or that received a response 2 weeks later. They tend to ignore scholarship negotiation emails, based on my personal experience. I'm thinking Melanie responded to my seat deposit because I was a little OCD and sent my deposit certified mail?jdemmitt wrote:Of course YOU did. Crowne Club is the nicest of them all. Crowne Polo is primarily grad/law students. Crowne Oak and the other are more undergrad...so a WFU alum told me. Hope that helps!SteelyDan wrote:Tagging in.
