I mean thats what I hope but it doesnt make sense to put that in an e-mail approving you for a travel subsidy. Also, it says in the e-mail you request reimbursement when you arrive on campus for ASW which makes ASW the de facto 60 day line if Im understanding correctly. Hopefully the person I e-mailed responds in the next couple of days and clears everything up.dbrddr wrote:I think the quoted text means you can only request reimbursement within 60 days of your purchase, not that you can't have purchased over 60 days before ASW if you want to be reimbursed

Re: Harvard Law 2014
Hi everyone!
Does anyone know if we'll get any more info about ASW before we get there? I registered for the March one, but haven't heard anything since. Also, when I booked my hotel I got a Harvard rate, but they said to bring documentation that I was actually there for ASW at check in -- have you all gotten any confirmation emails?
Sorry that was kind of long, and thank you to anyone who answers!

Re: Harvard Law 2014
has anyone else started looking at the classes and panels for the march ASW? Any thoughts on awesome professors/panels that would be especially helpful to attend? I didn't realize we had to pick all of this in advance, was planning on just winging it.
Of course now that I have the option I will completely overthink it so that I can experience the greatest professors in the shortest amount of time

I got a confirmation email on the 15th. There is a preliminary schedule online, and in the email they mentioned sending a more detailed one soon. That's all I know

Thanks! A few hours after I posted I got that email, too - I should have been more patient!

Did you sign up through BLSA? I requested one as well and also indicated that I wanted one on the BLSA form they sent us but haven't gotten one yet. I'm about to email them to check...because I don't have the money for a hotel room

Hi guys,
Do you know if Harvard ever increases their grant offer if you try to negotiate with them? I received $90,000 from Chicago and Duke and am considering filling out NYU's scholarship application if Harvard considers these kinds of situations. FYI, I will probably qualify for the highest amount of grant aid (which I read is a measly $13,000/year?) and definitely need all the aid I can get.
Thank you!

Have you called up hotels and asked for a Harvard rate? When I did that they took off about $50 a night.
Also, have you been getting all those emails from student organizations? I replied back to some of them, and without me even asking, the students offered to find me a place to stay with another student (or with them). If you're getting desperate, you could try responding to the emails, and ask if they know of anyone who'd be willing to let you crash at their place over the weekend.
Good luck, and I hope you find something!!

Thats incorrect. The max grant is something like $29,000-$30,000/yr. If you are expecting the max grant then you should get an offer close to matching the 90k from Chicago/Duke.jonfen wrote:Hi guys,

When I went to ASW a few years back I stayed here: http://53wendell.com/. I think it was about $125/night and very close to the school.

For anyone who has faxed documents to the financial aid office: are they showing up as "received" yet in your list of required documents?fishdude wrote:I think the finaid packages are coming out on the 11th.tkgrrett wrote:On the topic of finaid, anyone get a package yet? I submitted documents via fax a few days ago and they arent yet showing as received. If they arent showing up by this weekend I am going to bring them to the ASW and hand submit.ebeth wrote:For anyone who has faxed documents to the financial aid office: are they showing up as "received" yet in your list of required documents?fishdude wrote:I think the finaid packages are coming out on the 11th.tkgrrett wrote:On the topic of finaid, anyone get a package yet? just fyi, I faxed some stuff, called the next day to confirm and they never got them. The girl I spoke to told me to email them instead (with the cover sheet), and they confirmed they got them that day. I have been emailing all my stuff since thentkgrrett wrote:I submitted documents via fax a few days ago and they arent yet showing as received. I haven't yet but I've been sent to committee review. I'll keep you posted. I think I read somewhere that offers start coming out March 11th (edit: just read the other post above, guess I'm not the only one), which sounds about right given my under review date.tkgrrett wrote:Thats incorrect.
