I'm 22, but will be a dignified 23 by the time I get to Duke.

lol it was on this thread. I'm going to head over after work. Looking forward to it, but hoping it won't be a stuffy affair.

I went to a Michigan one last year and it was mostly young associates getting drunk. So it was nowhere near stuffy. This is at Cravath though lol

dannyde7 do you work in the city? I may end up going to check it out.

Yeah I work pretty close by so I'll probably be there around 6:30 or so. Would definitely love for it to be a bunch of people getting drunk.

Jet Blue has a $44 one-way special from NYC - RDU today. Only good for Tue/Wed though.

Ha, kids...

Are you going to visit? You know the ASW is on the wrong weekend.

Gotcha. Are you thinking about Penn? I was there for undergrad and absolutely loved it. Regardless, I'm thrilled to be going to Duke.

My options are completely open at the moment. I love Penn (there for grad school), I like Boalt, I like the UVa's offer, and I like RDU. So ... there are multiple factors. Probably won't sort it out until April.

So to satisfy my own curiosity, who all in here is set on Duke, or is at least seriously considering attending?

Yes I know. :( But that's why I went on an individual visit - and loved it! - already. I feel that I have all the info I need to compare Duke to the other schools after I visit them. Just FYI everyone, the sunset in Durham is TO DIE FOR!!!

Dunno if this has been posted already, but there's an Admitted Students FB group:

http://www.facebook.com/#!/home.php?sk= ... 53518&ap=1

I wish they'd create an official Class of 2014 group so we can get the conversation started, but I guess it's still a little early for that? Anyway, just a heads up.

I almost moved down to RDU about 10 years ago. I like the area. We actually visited last summer on the way back from summer vacation. I may end up driving down there after I do the UVa open house for an individual visit.

Did you hear back about scholarship? I just send the form in yesterday, I wonder how long I have to wait.

Did you take any pics of the law school?

No pics. I only went overnight, so it was one meeting after another. It was still a really solid visit though, which is why Duke is still on my short list. And they started reviewing the scholly apps in January, so I think I just saw someone post yesterday about getting their info in the mail. So it looks like it just started now.
