NYU Law School Certification and College Questionnaire

Post by blackcanary01 » Wed May 06, 2020 12:21 pm

NYU has said on their website that offices are currently working remotely and only accepting materials electronically. However, for the Law School Certification and College Questionnaire portion of the application, I seem to only be able to download these documents as pdfs. Accordingly, I'm not sure how to edit them, let alone send them to my school to edit and send to NYU.

How are people getting around this issue?

I just kind of filled it out old school, text boxes in the applicable areas to be filled out by the student. But yeah you're right, the problem is having the undergraduate/current law school fill out the rest of the form after forwarding it. Additionally, I just found out that my undergrad is currently unable to send any transcripts electronically at this time, only through the mail. So I'm at a loss.

Doesn't the bottom of the form say to mail them hard copies of the transcripts/forms? Where on the website does it say to mail admissions form--I cant find it

https://www.law.nyu.edu/jdadmissions/ap ... triculants

That link at the bottom of "Official Transcripts for Transfer Applicants".

While the forms do say hard copies, this pretty much indicates to disregard that instruction. Unless we are supposed to fill it out hard copy, mail it hard copy, and then have the school scan it over to NYU. Seems ridiculously burdensome though.

Ah thanks, they must have updated that since last time I checked there.

We can't even do that because most law schools and undergraduate schools are also working remotely, so who would we mail it to? No one will be able to receive it.

Does NYU have their own Law School Certification we have to fill out? I can't find where you downloaded it??

Yeah, you can either email them for it or it’s somewhere on LSAC

It's such a pain in the ass - my undergraduate school is working remotely, and cannot process a transcript request, but I have my undergraduate transcript still uploaded through CAS :x
