Chances of transferring? (T2, top ~12%)
School’s ranked 95-100s and finished my first semester in the top 12%ish with a 3.59 gpa. Thinking about applying for GULC(EA), Cornell and GWU. What are my chances?

Below median at GULC, but above for Cornell and GW. Might be able to get in EA at GULC, but should focus on getting grades up. Is DC your target market? Not sure Cornell makes much sense for that.

Re: Chances of transferring?
OP - That's amazing, congrats. With your grades, GW should not be a problem. Other schools to consider might include WashU, Fordham, or Emory. I would caution that GULC's EA isn't necessarily easier to get into because applicants are being judged on only one semester of grades, and in fact that might make it more competitive. Of course, you should try, but if it's possible (given the pandemic) to pull your GPA up to mid-3.6X, admission to GULC will be much more likely. You may have a better chance if you're from a regional school in the DMV area like American, though. Speaking from personal experience as an EA transfer to GULC last year.Amber96 wrote:School’s ranked 95-100s and finished my first semester in the top 12%ish with a 3.59 gpa. Not bad chances with NYU. Also apply to Columbia and Berkeley (big classes and transfer friendly). Harvard may be a stretch but worth a shot.marley1234 wrote:3.846 at a T2 (Fall Semester)/due to corona, likely going P/F for second semester. Not sure of rank, but median was a 3.239.
Chances of transferring to NYU?
Good luck to you both!
