Hi all-
I have submitted an early application to GULC, but am now considering applying to other schools and am wondering where I would have a good shot. Transferring is not something I was considering as a 0L, and this all feels foreign, so any advice would be much appreciated.
Currently at a school ranked in the 50s on the West Coast.
GPA: 4.075
3 CALI awards
Not a diversity applicant
Not a strong LSAT score.
Where would I be competitive as a transfer?
Where should I be thinking about applying? Forum

Re: Where should I be thinking about applying?
I honestly think you have a pretty strong chance at the T-10, especially if the transfer cycle is slightly easier this year because of coronavirus. I would think you would be competitive if not a shoe in at Berkeley and Northwestern, and then pretty good shot at schools like Columbia, Harvard, maybe Stanford. Also, worth throwing apps because I think you have a very strong chance at Chicago or NYU.Prop_DP_JM wrote:Hi all-

I was in a similar boat as you. >4.0 GPA at a (then) 50s school in a flyover state, mediocre to bad LSAT score, and non-diversity applicant. Applied and accepted at HLS, Chicago, and Columbia. Apply broadly.

Re: Where should I be thinking about applying?
If I was in your position, I would send out an application to every school in the T-14.
With COVID-19 I'm sure acceptances may be a bit different this year and you may have a shot at schools that usually only accept transfers from T1 and T2. However, I'm only speculating here.
Just know you are in a very good position with your GPA.
