I’m in at GW but they want their $1,000 deposit by April 15. I’m still waiting to hear back from Georgetown (applied EA first few days in Feb). I’m in the top 2% in my class, so I feel hopeful about Georgetown but coming from a T4.
Chances they extend the deadline? How do I go about asking this?
Should I call Georgetown and let them know I got in at GW and ask when they’ll be deciding?
SOS I am clueless.

Re: Transfer deposit extension
Re: asking for an extension, you should be able to just email the admissions people at GW, explain that you are very pleased by their offer but that you are waiting on other applications, and would it be possible to get an extension on your deposit deadline. Just be polite and they may or may not agree, but they won’t hold it against you.
I don’t think contacting Georgetown will do much, but I could be wrong.
Keep in mind you may have to eat the $1000. Hopefully GW will give you an extension, but no guarantees.
