HELP!!!!! Need Advice!

Post by Anonymous User » Sun Jul 01, 2018 2:52 am

I am at a T2 school in Southern California, Top 5%. I am struggling horribly on what to do, I got a full-ride to my school but I also have been accepted into Berkeley and UCLA. I want to get into a good Big Law firm, and I think I can get into a solid one from where I am currently at (at least V40-50 because I have already interviewed at two of them early), but do you think I should go to one of those schools I have been accepted to? If they would increase my chance of getting into a V25 firm (because of the increase in interviews I would receive at the transfer school) then it might be worth it to pass up a full-ride.

Please let me know if anyone has any experience or information on anything that could help me make my decision. I need to make it very soon! Any opinions would be helpful at this point I am literally 50% thinking I should stay, and 50% thinking I should go to the best-ranked school possible (Berkeley). Thank you!

Also on Moot Court, Law Review, and got a TA position with Legal Research and Writing Professor if that helps your advice.

If you are sure your are going to get a v40-50 you are set. Transfering to try to get a higher vault rank firm makes little sense to me especially if you are going to go into debt doing do. Correct me if I am wrong.

If you want to practice in So Cal, I would stay at your current school. The problem with transferring is your grades and ranking do not go with you, you will take on more debt, and you will go through OCI with alums of your new school who have no real affinity for your old school.
