Re: made a mistake in resume - 5# or #5
I don’t think it’s a big deal, especially if it was done intentionally and not a typo. How did you figure out your ranking btw?

What do you mean? The correct usage of # should be before the number, not after. So I do not understand your point of it being done intentionally.thesilentzone wrote:I don’t think it’s a big deal, especially if it was done intentionally and not a typo. How did you figure out your ranking btw?
My school ranks top 12 students after 1L. So basically only 12 persons know their rankings.

Oh your original post made it sound like you intentionally wrote it that way without knowing that the pound sign should come first. I figured you were foreign or something. I feel like sending them a new version would only call attention to the error. I would only do it if the school portal allows upload of new files like Harvard, which i assume you’re applying to.

Yeah, you got it right. I am foreign. lol. But I do not think it is justifiable just because I did it intentionally. Panicking now.thesilentzone wrote:Oh your original post made it sound like you intentionally wrote it that way without knowing that the pound sign should come first. if I saw this i'd think the typo was intending to say 5% rather than #5. But I wouldn't panic about it.

Yeah it’s definitely nothing to panic about. Your numbers are amazing. You’re gonna crush the transfer cycle. Where did you apply?

lol. I just hope they would not hold that against me that much. It kinda shows I am careless. I am thinking about updating through HLS's online portal but I am not sure how it would make me look like. I hope they only care about the numbers.thesilentzone wrote:Yeah it’s definitely nothing to panic about. Your numbers are amazing. You’re gonna crush the transfer cycle. Where did you apply?
HYS. I have great scholarship in my current school so I am willing to give it up only for the top schools.

FWIW, in the future, I would go with "No. 5" in this circumstance.

I do not think it is a big mistake. I would not try to draw attention to it.Anonymous User wrote:Do you think it is a big mistake? I am thinking about calling the school.WinterComing wrote:FWIW, in the future, I would go with "No. 5" in this circumstance.
