Got the same email, called admissions. They're aware of the problem. They want you to send a screenshot of you receiving the email to them.

Kind of sucks, because we're all so anxious about the results. I wish they would have shown a little more care.

Did they give any indication of why they want a screenshot? Or what it means?

They told me that it was sent in error. I think they're trying to assess the issue, and who it reached. A part of me can't help hoping that they're just being coy with it.

They told me it was a glitch as well. It clearly didn’t go to everyone that applied though, which is interesting. I can’t help hoping they’re covering their bases by saying it isn’t indicative of a decision too.

I didn’t get one but my app is still awaiting a certification. I wouldn’t read to much into it.

My app is also incomplete, according to status checker (though I know they received everything at the latest last week but probably the week before). You’re probably right that it doesn’t mean anything, but it definitely played with my emotions.

I bet. Every email I get makes my heart sink and they almost all end up being spam. Don’t companies know we are waiting to hear from law schools and they should put spam on hold lol!

To be fair, what I said was that I haven’t gotten an email from them that says it’s complete. I called last week to confirm they have everything and they verbally told me everything is there and that they received my transcripts and certification.

My app is incomplete on the tracker, but I remember reading that Columbia doesn't update its status checker. I haven't received an "application incomplete" message from CLS either and I submitted on June 14th. I also received the tuition/health insurance email.

Yeah someone confirmed that they're not updating the transcript/certification boxes on status checker but once your app is complete you should get an email saying your application has gone under review (and it will also say this in status checker).

I don't think so... My app went complete a while ago (beginning of June) and still haven't heard anything either way on my end yet either. Haven't heard of anyone getting a decision yet... Hopefully this week!

I also have not heard anything and I went complete last Wednesday as well. I just called the office and they said they hope to have decisions out by July 15th, but they had no specific timeline as of yet.

I asked a friend. He got Columbia admission on July 7th last year. So hopefully we can hear back from them by this Friday.

It looks like based on the threads from the prev. two years they did truly rolling admissions starting in late June. Maybe they're switching back to the format of letting all applicants know at once or doing admissions in waves. Either way the wait is agonizing!

Not sure of rank or percentile, above median... probably top 15-25%.

Application went complete late last night after receiving an email that they made an initial decision, but were still waiting on my undergraduate dean's certification. I called them to make sure they had it, as it was sent in hard copy, and the woman I spoke to actually found it while I was on the phone.

I was hoping I would get in to post this before acceptances came out, but does anyone else think it's snarky that Columbia ends their "application complete" e-mails with "we hope to welcome you here as a member of the class of 2020"?
