Yes they accepted mine via email but it has to come from the registrar/dean's office email directly.gisi wrote:Does Columbia accept Dean's certification by email?

Neither has mine, I called them to make sure that they had gotten my transcripts and my Dean's Certification because it was still unchecked after about 2-3 weeks and they told me that they aren't running the status checker for transcripts and Dean's Certification. Instead, they will email you once they've added the paperwork they have to your file and tell you what they're missing, if they're missing anything.kengh wrote:My status checker hasn’t updated in weeks.

It looks like some people who turned in their apps early last year started to see some movement last week of June/first week of July. I’m getting anxious!

I believe they would send out an email notifying the application is complete a couple days before the acceptanceLawSchoolGeeky wrote:It looks like some people who turned in their apps early last year started to see some movement last week of June/first week of July. I’m getting anxious!

Maybe your school's #1 and #2 both applied and they have to decide whether they want to admit you allLawSchoolGeeky wrote:Oh dang. Talking through a bunch of things like paying tuition, health insurance, housing etc. I assume it was a mistake.kengh wrote:Saying what?Legallylawyer2020 wrote:Did anyone get an email from student financial services this morning?

I did not get an email telling me I was complete, which is why I assume this email was a mistake.lawschooltransfer wrote:I didn't but I just submitted FAFSA. When did you go complete?

Got the same email, called admissions. They're aware of the problem. They want you to send a screenshot of you receiving the email to them.
Kind of sucks, because we're all so anxious about the results. I wish they would have shown a little more care.

Did they give any indication of why they want a screenshot? Or what it means?StandardWhiteGuy32 wrote:Got the same email, called admissions. They're aware of the problem. They want you to send a screenshot of you receiving the email to them.

They told me that it was sent in error. I think they're trying to assess the issue, and who it reached. A part of me can't help hoping that they're just being coy with it.

Re: Columbia 2018 Transfer Thread
They told me it was a glitch as well. It clearly didn’t go to everyone that applied though, which is interesting. I can’t help hoping they’re covering their bases by saying it isn’t indicative of a decision too.StandardWhiteGuy32 wrote:Legallylawyer2020 wrote:Did they give any indication of why they want a screenshot? I didn’t get one but my app is still awaiting a certification. I wouldn’t read to much into it.Legallylawyer2020 wrote:They told me it was a glitch as well. Re: Columbia 2018 Transfer Thread
My app is also incomplete, according to status checker (though I know they received everything at the latest last week but probably the week before). You’re probably right that it doesn’t mean anything, but it definitely played with my emotions.kengh wrote:I didn’t get one but my app is still awaiting a certification.
