Currently top 20% of my class at a T3 school. Looking to apply to UGA via early decision- I have work experience between undergrad and 1L, ties to the Deep South, and went to undergrad in the region, but am at a school in Texas. I've been told by admissions people at the school that they look for people in the top 20% but have gone as far as top 40% depending on the application cycle.
I checked UGA's 509, and my GPA is hovering right around the median, however my school's curve is much lower than any of the schools they took transfers from last year.
Does anyone have a solid guess about my chances of getting in with these types of numbers? Also, does applying through early action help my chances of being admitted?
Any general advice about how to strengthen my application is welcome too. Thanks!
