Getting "C" for Legal Research & Writing-- Ruin my transfer?
Have a gut feeling my LRW professor would give me a C for being a non-native speaker....
This class will not greatly impact on my GPA (as it's only 2 credits), but I'm still wondering am I still being able to transfer to T20 with a "C" on record? (I'm in a T30 school)
Will so appreciate it if anyone could share their experience!

Be more specific in why you think you would receive a "C."
There is nothing performance related? You scored well on all assignments and quizzes or tests?

This question seems oddly specific and wildly premature.

tl;dr? - grades or gtfo. Assuming you're on a normal track, you're only a month or so into law school. Just chill and see where your grades end up. Then you can ask questions.

Why are you trying to transfer from a "t30" to a "t20?" Those are both meaningless distinctions. They're both T1 schools.
My best recommendation, don't get a "C." So stop doing whatever it is you're doing to piss off your LRW professor.

This really is too early to ask. But if you write poorly, then there is a chance you would get a low grade just like any other student. You should probably just put in as much work as possible on your writing if its a big concern. Also, depending on debt load/your career goals, I'm not sure how much benefit you would get from transferring from a T30 to a T20.

If you go to OH enough, you won't get a C. Just keep going back and getting feedback. Incorporate feedback.

1) a "gut feeling" about your professor in September is not remotely reliable and you're just borrowing trouble thinking this way.
2) people aren't allowed to ask about transfer chances until they have at least a semester of grades, so I'm locking this. You can start a new thread when you get grades.
